Clean and comfortable

Very happy with my 5 day stay. Room was very clean and comfortable even had a mid stay service which was much appreciated. Definitely would stay here again. Only downside was it is a bit dated but nothing that a coat of paint and some new furnishings would fix. Oh, and the lift is very slow.

The whole experience was horrible. The hotel very tired and not maintained. We left clothing but it was not returned.

This hotel is a joke. I am an Accor Platinum member. I booked a two-beeroom apartment for 2 nighs. The second day we were requested to move to a one-bed apartment with an extra bed. What a way to treat your Platinum guest! Can't you move someone else instead of your Platimum member? This hotel is a total joke. I demand the hotel's GM to contact me directly and apologise and refund me the first night for this terrible experience! I don't need your generic reply here. This is a serious warning to other fellow travelles:: Do NOT book this hotel!

Dirty and old

Stayed 2 nights at the Mantra and was very disappointed. The staff were lovely but the room was very dirty … every surface was grimy and the windows (inside surfaces) were filthy. Paid extra for the sea view … but the windows are so high in the lounge area that when you sit down all you can see is sky! The furniture was sparse, old and dirty … the kitchen was just old and tired … you wouldn’t want to cook in the provided saucepans. Honestly, pay a little more and stay somewhere else.

Booked a Superior 1 bedroom apartment as a corporate customer via Bookings.com based upon description and provided photos. Upon arrival, the lobby and surrounds were dirty and unkempt. Dirt and dust were evident on the floor and rugs, walls were grubby and marked. There was an overpowering smell of disinfectant. Upon being directed to the room the lift was filthy and hadn't been cleaned for some time. Carpet in hallways leading to room was filthy and again walls were filthy. Room was disgusting. No surfaces had been wiped down with obvious glass ringlets on tables and benches. Again floors were filthy as were the walls. Fridge and appliances had obviously not been cleaned for some time. Lounge was putrid. No way would you prepare a meal using their facilities. Staff were shown the evidence of our complaints and to their credit were extremely apologetic and admitted they have had previous complaints about cleanliness. Refund was requested and we left for another place to stay. Disappointed with Booking.com's representation of the property. This is definitely not a 4 star property.
