I would definitely recommend The Observatory. My husband and I were due to stay 2nights and I booked through Booking.com at a non refundable rate. Unfortunately due to rain The Pacific Highway was closed and we couldn’t get to Port Macquarie. The hotel agreed to give me a refund, which was greatly appreciated. It was great to deal with a hotel who treats people fairly. We will definitely rebook at a later time.

Great location and apartment. Parts of the apartment are a little tired but it was a great stay for our family to celebrate a graduation at Charles Sturt university.

We were upgraded to a beach view apartment for our loyalty status. The apartment was well supplied with kitchen crockery, cutlery, dishwasher powder etc. There was a shared laundry in the foyer between the apartment and the adjacent hotel room (can be joined to convert to a two bedroom). Parking is undercover and suitable for most vehicles. Easy walk to beach, breakwall and town. There is an indoor pool plus a cafe and restaurant on site (no Accor discounts). Only minor issue is the shared foyer is very noisy as the doors slam, which could be a problem if busy. Staff were helpful and resupply of consumables was no problem. Happy to stay again.
