Firstly, after a great check in, we couldn't believe the size of the room when we opened the door! So spacious. I really don't think we could fault anything, the bed was super comfortable, as were the pillows, everything was clean and tidy, and the location was great. A great stay.

I was disappointed, the pictures you looked at online were amazing., so I decided to book a room after booking an Executive Apartment yes it was spacious. But there is a lot to be said about what was placed inside the decor old style, TV, old not smart TV and they can be brought cheap.no internet, had to try and google on your phone to plan your site seeing activities. The bed was hard or I have become old there was a kitchenette, and you were offered a hotplate to cook on if you wanted to eat in one frying pan and one pot and a small bar fridge. I thought they had a stove. There was no room in the ice box I had no view and had to stand on my tip-toes to try and look out the window of the roofs of the buildings next door. I understand we cannot all have a room with a view or internet if I had known I would not have booked at Mantra One staff was friendly and courteous. Other reviews have read good they can be deceiving I think. Just be mindful that looks can be deceiving and you might not get what you expect.

The Mantra One Sandy Bay Road is the ideal location for a stay in Hobart. The reception staff were attentive and welcoming. Salamanca and the harbour are a short 5 min stroll through the park where you will find many restaurants and bars to choose from. The harbour area is the main hubb to purchase tickets for tourist adventures and ferries. We found the area around Mantra to be very safe and we will definitely stay at these apartments again.

A pleasant stay over 4 days.

The hotel is located right beside St David Park. Make sure you stay in Hobart over a Saturday to catch the Salamanca Market which takes place only on Saturdays from 0830 to 1500. We rented a car and parked at the private parking lot at the hotel’s basement. The parking charge is $20 per day but you can sign up as an Accor member to enjoy a discounted rate of $15 per day. Parking is very limited in the vicinity. The hotel room is spacious, where the bedroom and the living room are connected via a little pantry. There is a mini fridge and washing machine for our usage. To top it up with a dryer is a bonus as we tend to wash our laundry every 1-2 days. There are two TVs in the room but they are not smart TVs and you can view only local stations. All in all, a pleasant stay over 4 days.

Room 211

Only a one night stay, in room 211 which is on the side facing the park opposite. Although it was booked as a studio (Accor member), it had a separate bedroom area and very high ceilings which gave a wonderful sense of space in a heritage building. The lounge/dining area was large, airy and looked out over the park. The Salamanca markets were literally across the road and the wharf area and Battery Point a short stroll away. There is limited parking under the building at a fee. The reception staff, Anna, was delightful and very helpful. Thanks! Although there's no onsite restaurant, there are plenty of dining options nearby. We would happily stay there again.
