Room too small

I’ve just returned from Hobart stayed here. The room was quite small and very warm I couldn’t seem to turn the heating to cool. I was on the 10th floor and the noise from the air conditioner below was so noisy during the night. There was just a kettle and no toaster or microwave! The only good thing was the pool. Wouldn’t stay there again!

Very conveniently located in Hobart, especially if catching the Skybus from the airport (bus stop 4 and walk through a lovely old stone alleyway to the back entrance of Ibis). Early check in was very much appreciated and my room was clean, comfortable and warm. Easy walk to Salamanca Market. Service was impeccable and friendly. I would stay here again and highly recommend.

I recently stayed at Ibis styles for five nights. The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from Salamanca which is really like. The room is very comfortable and clean. The staff at reception name Kayee is think it was were incredibly friendly and attentive. She helped me with directions and recommendations for local restaurants as it was our first time in Hobart to celebrate our anniversary. Her service was fantastic which made my stay very enjoyable. Thank you to all ibis staff

Great Views

This is a fairly new hotel. Our very clean room on the 9th floor had great views of Kunanyi/Mt Wellington. The foyer on this level had great views towards the Derwent estuary. The room was on the small size but not a squeeze. The comfortable bed was a standard double as a queen size double would not fit. The bathroom was well laid out. A big positive was the number of well-positioned power points which is not a common feature of many hotels. Would I stay again? Yes.

I must admit that the Henry Jones Art Hotel was our first choice ! I am so glad it did not offer a sauna facility which made us choose to stay at the Ibis Styles. Even though it is not a stylish boutique hotel, we were impressed with the young, friendly and dynamic staff working at the hotel. We loved our stay and enjoyed the sauna most ! We are waiting for the weather to warm up before visiting again. Thumbs up to Sydney/Kate at reception, Anna at breakfast buffet and Ted the chef who let us have a taste of his own delicious fried rice recipe, Sarah/Binal from housekeeping and a very special thank you to Nils for making sure that we ate at good restaurants while in Hobart (Drunken Admiral, Da Angelo etc.)
