Staying at the Charles for the first time was just lovely. From arriving and to be met at reception by a lovely young lass named Claire, who was super helpful, and to be upgraded to a disabled room. The rooms bathroom was amazing, the shower was huge, more than enough for a wheelchair, as was the toilet. Thank you Mantra for that. disappointing no evening meal, but as I already knew that, I had made provisions for that and had nibbles in our room. breakfast was delicious, waiter was most courteous, only downside was that the chairs in the room are so heavy, making it al ost impossible to move them around. Also, the fridge cupboard door needs to have holes drilled into it somewhere for the heat to escape. Opening the cupboard door, the fridge was extremely hot and smelt of burning. I did tell reception who made a note for maintenance. But apart from that we will certainly be back, and I notice that evening meals are back on again from the 14th Jan.

We stayed as 2 couples for 1 night. Upon arrival, staff were super friendly and helpful. All staff we encountered the entire time were lovely. Parking available at the front of building and you can use the adjoining businesses area overnight only. Rooms were at the end of the hallway opposite each other which was perfect. Great views, clean, quiet and very nice. Bed comfortable (my cousin LOVED her pillow and even asked where she could purchase one!) and we had a small kitchenette which was a bonus. Bathroom was a good size, although could do with an update. As Accor members, we had a reasonably priced package with a cooked breakfast included. Al la carte breakfast was a lovely change from the usual buffet style. Overall a nice, freshly cooked breakfast that was a good way to start to the day. Only negative - We had late check out but housekeeping were hovering and asked if we were checking out soon as we had both rooms doors open chatting as we were packing up. Wouldn't they have a list of rooms with checkout times? We'll definitely be back. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The room was very clean and spacious with a nice wide desk for work. A comment is they state there is no room service which can be inconvenient if you arrive late. However, at the restaurant I found out you can order room service after 8.30pm? More clarity should be provided. Another point to consider is the limited parking during business hours. Most of the spots were full and probably taken up by other businesses which makes it difficult. However, the staff did manage to get me a spot after I checked in.
