This hotel is well located close to the hub of Port Douglas with everything within a short walking distance. Our apartment was clean and comfortable, with everything in working order. Check in and Check out was very efficient and all staff were very friendly, professional and helpful.

My mum and I shared room 15. The configuration was perfect for us, as it was actually 2 rooms with a common entrance opened up, so Mum was able to have 15B to herself. This meant she not only had her own bedroom, but her own bathroom, kitchenette, veranda, outdoor chairs and table, spa, sun lounge and pool ladder! I was in 15A (a double room in itself) and we used its much larger lounge, kitchen (full size with dishwasher), veranda and spa as our common area. Both bathrooms have walk-in showers. The pool isn't heated but it was in the sun from early morning so, even in August, I found the water plenty warm enough. It's always beautifully clean too, without noticeable chlorine, only slightly salty, good mix. Excellent location, next door to Zinc restaurant and bar, which is on the corner of Davidson and Macrossan Street. Short stroll to the beach. If you're not able to manage the walk all the way down Macrossan St to the inlet, there is a great shuttle bus service available (SR Coaches) to take you anywhere in Port Douglas for a fixed price of $8 one way or $14 return. Just call their mobile number to tell them where you are and they'll be there in a flash.

While I must say the staff were brilliant, helpful and polite, our room was of a very ordinary standard. We paid $419 per night for a week for a 1 bedroom swim out room. We had requested a room on the sunny side, but didn't get it; the pool on our side was ice cold and unusable by us. The couch was ready to be thrown out in the Council cleanup, it was stained and sank at the back. The outdoor white chairs were ingrained with dirt. The pool fence looked like a jail fence and again it was dirty. The TV didn't synchronize, but the staff managed to get a new tv, not a smart one, but at least it was watchable. To pay that much a night and have no cleaning done and to have to take your used towels back to reception to get fresh towels, they must be kidding. I recommend if you do stay, ask not to be in Room #6

Just a small, dirty and outdated room. Very disappointed. Despite great location I wouldn’t stay here again.

Great location and comfortable bed but that’s all you get! Barely enough room for our luggage the room was so small. No service whatsoever. No clean for 6 nights- had to ask for clean towels at reception. Room was small, dirty and smelt mouldy. We had booked through Qantas so reception wouldn’t move us to a better room. We asked 3 times if we could shift rooms and they said we got what we booked and there was nothing they could do.

We are a couple who are familiar with Accor accommodation. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment which was clean and had very good bathroom, kitchen & laundry facilities. We stayed on the top floor, north facing in July about 24 °. Recommend bringing earplugs due to delivery/rubbish trucks early mornings but not every morning. Deck spa pool is only suitable for one person but relatively private. Nice friendly staff. Only negative is the pool is NOT heated! Quite disappointed in this, as we would've utilized it every day. Aqueous just lacked that WOW factor. Nice & close to 1st block in main street, ice creams, convenient store, pizzas or full restaurants. Back entrance into Owen Street is a bonus and the Flying Fox bats are just around the corner opposite the backpackers lodge.
