Not great place to stay

Didn’t sleep a wink there was so much light in the bedroom it was like day all night! The room was also pretty basic with a bathroom that you need to navigate around furniture in the night to get to. Considering this was a delux room, this was pretty disappointing

The hotel had a faulty hairdryer in the room and I had no idea. I used the hairdryer not knowing that there was two live wires bare. I ended up getting electrocuted and had a current throughout my body. Luckily I quickly realised and let go of the hairdryer. My wrist was burnt. I then went to check out and I mentioned it at the front desk. There was little response but that the manager would call me back. I received a call from the manager (Deepika) who confirmed that she saw the faulty hairdryer and asked if I was ok. I told her the situation and she said that she will file an incident report and the most she could do is give a refund for $70. Is my life only worth that much? I almost died if there was water or if I held on to it much longer. I’m so disheartened by the reaction of this hotel and no one has called me back to apologise. Really ? I can’t believe this lack of hospitality in the hospitality industry!

Good sized rooms for a family. Good location for a Fortitude Valley wedding... 2mins walk to woolworths, train & food outlets. 8mins walk to cloudland/The warehouse wedding venue. Two choice's of pools, Heated pool on floor 6 & beautiful out door pool on top floor.

Apartments not luxury hotel

No what we expected - this is an apartment not a luxury hotel. Room was 2 buildings and 2 lift trips away from reception. No pool towels provided. Pool on roof of a different building - shared with residents having large birthday parties in the pool area: This is not an Accor standard hotel.

Ok but could be refined

New building and great view at night but for $500/night slightly surprised not to have room cleaned daily (was probably in the fine print). Space is quite tight and balcony is not really a balcony (more of a glass room with some smallish opening windows). Sofas were a bit stained and dishwasher didn’t really clean so we ended up doing a lot of handwashing but with no running hot water in the kitchen. Staff all friendly and helpful when asked. Confusing entrances, a number of guests seemed lost finding the correct building, lift, reception, pool etc. Overall ok but could be refined a bit for families.
