A Very disappointing Stay.

I’m honestly confused about how this place is considered a Peppers Hotel. It’s a mixed-use building with apartments, which I’ve never encountered before, and it didn’t live up to what I expected from a hotel of this brand. First off, there are no blackout blinds, so the room was brightly lit all night from outside lights, making it impossible to sleep properly. Unfortunately, the place is also overrun with cockroaches. We spotted them everywhere— in the bathroom, inside the coffee machine, and even at the pool. When we picked up our bag near the pool, we were greeted by a swarm of tiny cockroaches. Definitely not something I want to experience at a hotel. The hallways in the building were like saunas. It felt like they were cutting costs by not providing air-conditioning in common areas, and you can even spot the vents in the ceiling— it’s pretty clear they’re not turning them on. From the moment we walked in, took the lift, and got to our room, it was unbearably hot. We opted for the offsite parking, which turned out to be a spot in the Valley Metro car park, a good 2-3 blocks away. Alternatively, you can pay $45 a night for valet parking, which feels like a steep charge for what you get. Overall, I feel like I paid a premium price for what I was expecting to be a premium experience, and I was really disappointed. Honestly, I’d recommend staying somewhere else.

They denied me the right to take my medication

I booked a room for 3 nights whilst my daughter was in the QLD Children's Hospital doing sleep analysis study. Didn't want to be on the streets during the days so I got the room. I am a medical cannabis patient and I go to the doctor to get my prescriptions that I pick up at a chemist. This hotel charged me 300 and took my full security deposit for taking my medication even though I did not leave any evidence and I took it outside on the balcony. I do not smoke cigarettes and they tried to say it was a smoking Fee. I am allergic to tobacco and I cannot handle it in my system and so to be charged $300 when we didn't even sleep at this hotel I literally only got it so I could have my medication because I couldn't take it at the hospital. This is such an injustice and I will be taking it further

Located just up from a strip club. 3 ambulances working on a drug overdose outside on arrival. Watched a drunken fight at the hotel's 6th floor pool, which is the one they recommended for a swim with kids. Room layout truly weird - needed to step over the bed side table to get into the ensuite bathroom. Parking at this hotel is a nightmare. And lastly, did a room check on departure and discovered someone's soiled undies under my bed. All in a 2 night stay.

Not great place to stay

Didn’t sleep a wink there was so much light in the bedroom it was like day all night! The room was also pretty basic with a bathroom that you need to navigate around furniture in the night to get to. Considering this was a delux room, this was pretty disappointing

The hotel had a faulty hairdryer in the room and I had no idea. I used the hairdryer not knowing that there was two live wires bare. I ended up getting electrocuted and had a current throughout my body. Luckily I quickly realised and let go of the hairdryer. My wrist was burnt. I then went to check out and I mentioned it at the front desk. There was little response but that the manager would call me back. I received a call from the manager (Deepika) who confirmed that she saw the faulty hairdryer and asked if I was ok. I told her the situation and she said that she will file an incident report and the most she could do is give a refund for $70. Is my life only worth that much? I almost died if there was water or if I held on to it much longer. I’m so disheartened by the reaction of this hotel and no one has called me back to apologise. Really ? I can’t believe this lack of hospitality in the hospitality industry!
