Ok hotel but pricey. Not close to downtown.

The hotel looks ok when you first walk in. For a hotel this pricey, I didn’t expect to find mildew in the bathroom and a door that wouldn’t lock. Nice big room. The hotel isn’t close to downtown, so if you want to see anything or do some shopping for unique items, you have to take transit or taxi.

So much more potential!

We had an OK stay but with little improvements, the hotel could be way better. The property is easily to be reached from airport and downtown. Charming feel with all the local touches. Clean and comfortable room, public spaces could be cleaner. The staff is OK but not at all outgoing and could be better trained (simple questions about f.e. public transport could not be answered; no attempt to look anything up); veri indifferent. Amenities in bathroom lacking. Breakfast is OK but nothing more. Note that this is a dry hotel. With all the flaws, I would say 3*, not 4 as per local rating.

The manager of the hotel is a very good person. Despite the rudeness towards me, he made a gesture for me and sent me breakfast to my room, thank you. However, the young blonde waiter in the restaurant section on the 15th floor is very rude. The slightly overweight gentleman in the breakfast room is very rude. While I was buying breakfast from the open buffet because the breakfast was over, they quickly collected the breakfast from me and this is very shameful. I stay all over the world, but this is the first time I see such treatment and I am very surprised.
