Zum Bayreuth-Baroque-Festival in diesem Hotel. Als Mediengast. Zimmer für 2 ziemlich eng. Aber das ist nicht das Problem. Frühstück ok. Am 12. wurde offiziell die Heizung eingeschaltet. Gute Idee, denn hier ist es seit Tagen kühl. Am 13. gab es noch keine warme Luft aus der Klimaanlage. Drei Mal kam jemand, um nach der Heizungen zu sehen - aber es bleibt kalt. Das werde schon noch, do der Mann. De facto bleibt es kalt.

Planning to visit the Bayreuth Festival for the first time, I found it slightly tacky to find somewhere nice stay. Most options in Bayreuth seem at the budget end of the scale. This hotel is a good choice. It is very easy to find and there is plenty of parking available. The property is situated between the Festspiel House (which is a short, pretty walk) and the various interesting sites in the centre. The rooms were pristine with good air conditioning. Breakfast was simple but of good quality. The staff are very friendly and professional. It was fun having drinks at the hotels bar after returning from the opera.

If you understand the meaning of “ripoff” then you have the perfect picture of the IBIS style hotel in Bayreuth. For more than 240€ per night we were given rwo rooms (422and 420), rooms overlooking a train junction. The cost is incredibly higher (250 € per night) for no reason than any equivalent hotel The room had NO PHONE, the bathroom had no bidet, no frills whatsoever were available in the bathroom (no shampoo, no shaving foam, no nothing!). The hotel has no private garage so a customer must use a parking place (cost not included in the room cost). The room was very small, with no diary indicating the hotel options. We asked for two second pillows and we got only one. The breakfast was almost ridiculous: not enough tables so we had to use another room far away from the breakfast trays. When we came back in the afternoon we discovered that the room had not been made (excuse: for saving energy…..)! Never in my life I felt so cheated and my suggestion is to avoid at any rate a so unacceptable makeshift hotel. I am a very seasoned traveller and obviously I have experienced very good and less good hotels but never, I repeat never, anything similar happened to me. Shame on the hotel organization and shame on “booking.com” for advertising this horrible place.

Het is een hotel dat is ingericht voor de jong volwassenen. Voor een gemiddelde kamerprijs krijg je een eenvoudige maar functionele kamer. Als de jeugd in een groep komt is er beneden een ruime bar met fauteuils. Er kan eventueel een televisiescherm worden binnengereden mocht er bijvoorbeeld een voetbalwedstrijd gekeken willen worden. Knap van Ibis, dat ze een hotel hebben gecreëerd dat de jeugdherberg overstijgt. Voor de gevorderde, oudere hotelbezoekers; probeer het eens een nachtje.

Für den Preis zu wenig Leistung und wieso keine Punkte für ALL-Plus . Bett nur am Fußende und rechts zu besteigen. Kein Schrank, keine Haken für nasse Regenkleidung. Nur 1 Stuhl für 2 Personen. Alles etwas beengt.
