Hot, cramped underwhelming

We booked a family room on the way home from Croatia. We expected a basic clean room. The entrance ro the hotel is off a sad looking parking lot which gave an impression of what was to come. The room was tiny, bunkbeds in corridor and a double bed, small shower in the bathroom. The room was reasonably clean. The shower fitting was coming off so we had to tighten this up with a screw driver. The hotel was extremely hot. While outside was warm, the glass roof acted like a greenhouse and there was no climate control. Our room was on the second floor, no lift, and the heat built as we went up the stairs. The window only opened a crack and it was so hot we got little sleep. Breakfast was very minimal as we expected at this price point, baguette, sliced bread, a cake, butter, cheese spread, nutella, yoghurt, coffee, apple and orange juice. What we didnt expect was that there was no room for us to sit as the breakfast 'room' was a small area of the foyer with a few tables. Vastly inadequate for the guests. The only good thing about this stay was the location, close to the motorway and with an excellent asian buffet; euro d'aise accross the road. Next time we are passing we will stay in one of the other hotels nearby as the discomfort is not worth it.

Great stopover

Excellent guy on reception. Airy and spacious atrium. Basic but functional rooms (as expected) and clean en suite. Bike storage available. Decent breakfast; the hot chocolate was delicious! Stayed for one night en route to Eurostar and it was just what we needed.

Beyond disappointing……the bugs were the last straw.

We knew it was a budget hotel and it was only for one night but it was the worst place we’ve stayed as a family! Only positive was the closeness to the motorway…. To be fair, the one member of staff we met was actually very nice but that’s where it ended. Tiny cramped room for 2 adults, 2 teenagers & a dog…..literally no floor space! Room was stifling-no air con of course, no fan…. There were bugs everywhere! I woke to one crawling in my ear whilst another ran over my husbands chest! Ugh…. Bathroom smelled like a sewer and nobody wanted to use it! Overall a hugely disappointing night with very little sleep-we were up at 6am and away as quickly as possible. If you’re a fan of roughing it and poor hygiene levels then this is the place for you….

Pay a little more and stay elsewhere

One night stay here on way to Spain…. Yes it had car parking and was dog friendly but that’s the only positives really…. Floors and stairs unclean…. Rooms beyond basic. Paid for breakfasts but when we got downstairs at 7.20 am it had all gone …. Waited 30 mins but no sign of it being replenished!

Terrible!

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in. We were arriving after reception closed, so were asked to call to get instructions for getting our keys. We tried to call 8-10 times but there was no answer. On arrival at 10.30pm, reception was closed with a sign that said 'wait for reception to re-open'. Eventually we managed to contact a manager who came to help/ It was clear they couldn't find our booking despite me having the booking ref and having paid in full. Eventually they found double rooms instead of a family one as we had booked. One of the rooms was in a complete state - a full wall poster was fallen off the wall and had to be climbed over to get to the bed, the bathroom stank and the bedroom door lock was impossible to ell if it was locked from the outside or not. We will never stay in an F1 again!
