A return to Mercure Albury after a couple of years of not travelling south of Sydney was a great experience. Although not shabby before, the room upgrades were a great plus to our experience. We were glad to see that Vichnu was still running the restaurant for dinner and breakfast with his skill for remembering order details so proficiently. A true professional. And the kitchen was providing nice, well presented food as remembered from before. An overall pleasing experience once again.

Such a beautiful place to stay! The pork belly was absolutely delicious. Staff were incredibly kind and friendly, making us feel so welcome. Rooms were clean, tidy, and comfortable. Plus, it’s just a short walk to great shopping—perfect location!

Lovely quiet hotel, the bed was really comfy and we had breakfast included which was great value. Centrally located so we could easily walk to local restaurants form dinner. One small issue was the shower was not that clean and could have used a really good scrub. But all in all a good stay.

I received an email asking for details of my requirements.eg shower, pillows, floor level etc. I asked for a walk in shower as I am not allowed in bath due to several falls. Pillows I requested what type I would like, I requested ground floor due to walking difficulties. We were given room 305 on 3rd floor. Shower was over bath and no way I could get in. No handle to help.th shower screen was dirty and covered in mould across the bottom of shower door and beyond.my husband is asthmatic and of course was a definite no no for him. He rang to reception and asked to speak to someone in authority. Her name was Bailey and advised he could talk to her. He asked her to come up to room which she did. She said she was terribly sorry and move us to another room. She went downstairs to check onvacant room with walk in shower. She came back to us with advising we could have room 112 which had the walk in shower.Bailey also advised us she was going to authorise a refund for part of our stay. Of course when checking out nothing was known about the refund. I think it will never happen. For a 4 star rated hotel they must have different standards to motels. We have managed 3 1/2 star motels and the standards we had were far above what Mercure Albury. I would never ever stay there again and never recommend to others. We were charged $700 for our 4 night stay. What we got for that amount of money was disgraceful. That was accor members rates as well. Think very hard before staying at this hotel, They have a glitzy glamorous foyer but you do not sleep there. They always have lift problems and when you have to use the stairs it is a huge disgrace as well. I honestly do not know how they get a 4 star rating.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, i apololgise that your experience wasn't as expected. and i am pleased that our wonderful staff were able to move your room. Unfortunatly refunds need to be authorised by management and i wasn't made aware of the situation until now, With new staff training at the moment they are doing a wonderful job but at times things do get missed, this is by no means intentional and again apologise that this made you feel as though we don't care. Customer satisfaction is very important to us here.
