Great hotel, super central location. Breakfast buffet is to die for. Not only do you have endless savoury and sweet options, including Brazilian traditional dishes and sauces, but there will also be the incredible Alice ready to prepare a fully personalised omelette. She was amazing!

Reception personnel are always willing to support & sympathetic. My room was always very clean, thanks Joelma for taking care of me, my stuff and my room during this month. Breakfast is diverse & full of fruits. I highly recommend Grand Mercure Copacabana.

Ellen and Carol from the front desk show little concern for customer satisfaction and have minimal problem-solving skills. On the other hand, Pedro is a valuable asset to the hotel. When booking your next stay, I hope you have the good fortune of dealing with Pedro instead of Ellen or Carol.

Dear Guest, I am very sorry to hear about the inconvenience and that the service provided by some of our staff was not in line with what we want to offer - empathy and hospitality. We will certainly orientate and train our staff so that they all meet our standards of service. Please accept our sincerest apologies. Superior Customer Service! Alexandre and Leanda gave superior customer service at check in. Upgraded us to a partial view! Concierge provided great service as well! Davi was helpful in getting taxi and carrying our luggage. Beautiful hotel.

Here I was once again in Rio de Janeiro and I want to express my appreciation to everyone that works at the Grand Mercure Hotel in Copacabana. They all deserve to know that the attention they give to the guests and their hard work is greatly appreciated. Mr. Rodrigo Landa, Mariana, Maria Clara, Rene, Lucas, Wesley, Bruna, Mariazinha and their Staff, made sure that my stay was comfortable. Maria Clara, Rene Carvalho and everyone at the Front Desk. Thank you for your excellent service and always with a smile. Bellboys: Davi, Roberto, Creidson, Dylan and Rowan always so helpful. In Housekeeping: Bruna, Janielle and their Staff so caring about my comfort. Housekeeper Maria José that took such good care of my room, as well as Marcia, Katia, Val, Rita in Maria's absence. Also, Socorro in the evenings. The Beach Team: Weberson, Gerson and Marlo, so efficient and attentive with the Hotel beach chairs and umbrellas. Ah, the Restaurant with the plentiful breakfast buffet to start our day. So much to choose from… Seeing the smiling faces of Lucas, Wesley, Daniele, Guilherme P., Sebastião, Vitoria, Analuz, Marcele, Guilherme S., Lais, Rebecca and Alice (with her delicious omelets), greeting us every morning was a treat in itself. A thank you for the "behind the scene" kitchen Chef and staff for preparing the delicious breakfast spread. Speaking of treats, there is a Brazilian Cafézinho and a smiling Lucas waiting for us every afternoon in the lobby. How cool is that? Loved it! In a couple of months, the new renovated rooms and restaurant will be opened and I know it will be beautiful with a stunning ocean view. I will always have great memories of the old restaurant and its view too. My husband and I celebrated our 25th Anniversary with our friends there a few years ago, and the staff made sure we had such a great menu and celebration... A memory I will never forget, more special than ever now, since I no longer have him by my side. Can't wait to see the renovated area when I come back. Thank you for your kind, attentive professionalism and caring, that made me feel so welcome. No surprise there... because that is the Brazilian touch at the Grand Mercure! Obrigada a todos!
