This hotel had all the facilities we needed to enjoy a large family holiday. Sadly from arrival beginning with the check in process the level of service provided was poor this continued throughout the holiday in the restaurants, bar areas and sadly it was consistent all week particularly with a lack of managerial oversight and staff numbers. Pool towel management allowed people to take as many as they liked reserving numerous sun beds by the pools and on the beach so there wasn’t sufficient we had to sit on the grass. Room and social areas were not cleaned to a decent standard. Food in all restaurants was excellent, the grounds were beautifully cared for and the facilities for children were great but some areas were still closed or not available. Location of the hotel is isolated with nothing around it and land of legends is 1.5 hour journey each way with restricted times.

We stayed as a family (child aged 7) at this hotel for 7 nights in April 2025. Below are some hopefully helpful tips I wish I had known when booking this hotel. - It is near impossible to get a reservation at the a la carte restaurants so be prepared to have all your main meals at the buffet style restaurant. Booking opens on the Rixos app at 10am and bookings are usually gone within a few mins. The app doesn’t work very well so often you are left hanging by which time the bookings have gone. The one a la carte we did go to was basically food from the buffet served in an a al carte setting so you are probably not missing too much. Suggestion to hotel - let everyone staying more than 5 nights book at least one a la carte restaurant in advance to make it fair. - The buffet food is generally nice. The salad selection is lovely. Suggestion to hotel - you need to vary it a bit more. The food is incredibly repetitive. Maybe try themed nights? Big shout out to the Indian chef Jitendra who looked after us. - Most of the staff speak Russian and little English which makes communication a bit challenging. The WhatsApp group is difficult as a result as there is lots of miscommunication. We booked most things direct (sports activities at fitness centre, tennis at tennis hut, etc to avoid issues) to avoid the concierge. Note you have to pay for extra for tennis (eur15 per court). - Staff around the resort are generally limited. Very few around the pool (the ones that are area on roller skates and doing a great job though!), in the buffet etc. Makes things quite chaotic at times. Check in and check out is stressful due to limited staff too. Suggestion to hotel - this is an easy fix! - The kids club is great. The facilities are amazing. No pre booking needed. The kids session runs from 9am to 5pm (break from 12-2 for lunch) and then they have free play and discos etc in the evening. Suggestion to hotel - you need to tighten up on security - the first few days there were lots of adults freely walking into and out of kids club which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Until the staff get to know the kids, there is no way for them to know which child is with which adult. - The spa was nice, bit pricey and again staff didn’t speak English so you can’t easily communicate. Suggestion hotel - you need to take medical details up front, this is probably the only hotel i have ever been to that didn’t ask me to complete any medical details prior to treatment. - Other pros for me. There is a doctors office on site which I think is a great idea. They were helpful. The land of legends visit was worth it for change of scernary & no queues. There are sometimes shows in the evening which were good. The icecream parlour was good. There is a lady making flatbreads on the beachfront which were good. Overall, the hotel itself has great facilities. It just needs a few fixes which are quite simple and would completely change the experience for guests.

Stunning location, poorly managed

Pros: The location is fantastic. The surrounding nature is absolutely beautiful — you're nestled among mountains and pine forests, with scenic walks easily accessible from the hotel. I highly recommend visiting the ruins of the ancient Greek city of Phaselis — it's a fantastic one-hour walk from the hotel. The kids' club was excellent, and our children loved it. Some of the activities, like archery, were well-organized and a lot of fun. Cons: The management and overall organisation leave much to be desired. For example, booking a la carte restaurants is nearly impossible. You're required to use their mobile app, which isn't user-friendly for everyone. My mother-in-law, who is elderly and not very tech-savvy, asked for assistance and was told she must use the app herself — there was no alternative offered, which was disappointing. Bookings open at exactly 10 a.m., and unless you're extremely quick, you miss out. Throughout our entire stay, we were unable to secure a single booking. When we tried to raise the issue, we were simply told, “Oh, actually four seats were just released at the Mandarin restaurant — you just weren’t fast enough.” Frankly, that response was quite frustrating. As a result, we had to eat at the main restaurant, where the food was average at best — not terrible, but quite mediocre and repetitive. If you're someone who appreciates good food, you’ll likely be disappointed. Service was inconsistent. Some days, the waitstaff were attentive and quick to serve drinks. On other days, we were completely ignored. Friends we met at the hotel mentioned that during their first four days, not a single waiter approached them. One day, the main restaurant descended into chaos. The staff seemed overwhelmed and couldn't keep up — guests struggled to find available tables, and many tables weren't cleared after previous diners left. I saw one couple sit at a dirty table and wait 10–15 minutes before it was finally cleaned and set. Another major issue is the lack of enforcement around guest behaviour. Some people would "reserve" bar tables or pool beds by leaving their belongings there for hours without actually using them, effectively blocking others from access. In many well-managed hotels, staff remove unattended items to ensure fair use of shared spaces. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here, and it often felt like all the good spots were taken — even though no one was using them.

I had a wonderful 3 nights stay in the hotel. Daytime animation was very exciting. Special thanks to Guzel from animation team. Activities include archery, yoga, tennis, beach volleys, tennis. Night time live band was excellent. Weather was mild clean.

Amazing Family Stay – Rain or Shine!

We’ve just returned from a fantastic stay at Rixos Premium Tekirova, and even though we had a few rainy days, the experience was still nothing short of amazing. The resort itself is beautiful, the service is warm, and for families – especially those with young kids – this place truly shines. Kids Club – Absolutely Exceptional While I didn’t leave my kids alone at the Rixy Kids Club (I never usually do on holiday), I spent a lot of time there with my three boys and saw first-hand the love and care that goes into every activity. Special mention must go to Kseniia – one of the kindest, warmest, most genuine people I’ve ever met. Every day, she greeted us with a big smile and so much positive energy. She made us feel instantly welcome, and her presence always meant the day was going to be fun and full of heart. Rixos is incredibly lucky to have her, and I truly hope she’s still there if we return. She honestly was one of the best things about the resort! The kids club also offered really good workshops like ceramics and woodwork – not just standard crafts. Another big thank you to Furqaan, who was equally fantastic, friendly, and great with the children. We’ve been to many resorts around the world, and this kids club is definitely one of the best we’ve ever experienced – it was a big reason we chose this hotel in the first place. WhatsApp Concierge – A Brilliant Touch The WhatsApp assistant service made a big difference to our stay. Polina and Margarita were both amazing – super responsive, helpful, and always polite. It really simplified everything from house keeping to general questions. Room for Improvement – Mainly the Food While we loved our stay, I do want to be honest about the food. There’s a range, but it can be hit and miss and some of the buffet items were often overcooked or served cold or a little repetitive. I’m not even a fussy eater but at times it did lack taste and if it was cold we would wait for fresh batches from the chefs when we could, but consistency was a bit lacking and just generally the food wasn’t always great if I was being truly honest. However The People’s Restaurant was a nice casual option (burgers, pasta), and the café downstairs was great – especially when it came to alternative milks and coffee and pastries. That said, there were some language barriers, particularly in the main buffet, which led to a few mix-ups with drinks or dietary requests. It wasn’t a major issue, but worth mentioning for anyone with specific needs. Overall? A Memorable, Joyful Holiday Despite a few small areas that could be improved, this was a wonderful holiday and our kids loved it which is why we chose the resort and I have marked it five stars. The resort is clean and well-maintained, the service was mostly fantastic, and the kids club is one of the best out there. What really made it special were the people – especially Kseniia, who went above and beyond so wanted to say a massive thank you to her on behalf of me and the boys! We’ve rated this five stars because the overall experience – especially as a family – was joyful, warm, and unforgettable.
