Disappointed at Rixos Beldibi: A Break in Trust

We chose Rixos Beldibi based on our positive experiences with other Rixos properties, such as Rixos Downtown Antalya and Rixos Göcek, where we've always had enjoyable stays. Unfortunately, our experience at Rixos Beldibi fell short of our expectations. During our three-night, all-inclusive stay, we found ourselves eagerly awaiting the end of our stay. Despite our trust in the Rixos brand for quality service and food, we were disappointed by what we experienced. The dining experience was particularly underwhelming. The restaurant was surprisingly small, making it difficult to find seating during busy hours. The food options were notably limited; there were only six dishes, out of which only three or four were serving main dishes, and the remainder consisted of items like plain rice or pasta noodles, which I would not consider main dishes. Additionally, the serving area was cramped and poorly organised. Although we provided feedback to the customer relations team, the response we received was unsatisfactory. It seemed as though the hotel's focus was on cost-cutting measures rather than ensuring guest satisfaction. Even the BBQ and snack restaurant offerings were subpar, leaving us disappointed with the overall dining experience. Additionally, the lack of beverage service at the beach and the absence of cabanas, as advertised, further detracted from our enjoyment. While the hotel room was comfortable and the staff was generally polite and helpful, the overall experience was marred by the poor quality of the food and amenities. Rixos Beldibi needs to uphold the standards expected of a 5-star Rixos property to maintain its reputation. We have lost trust in the brand and will be more cautious when considering future bookings at Rixos hotels. Any apology or response from the hotel management will not repair the trust that has been lost. We rate our experience at Rixos Beldibi two stars and will not be returning. We advise others, especially those who have experienced true 5-star service and know what it entails, to avoid this property if they wish to avoid disappointment.

Our worst holiday

This holiday was booked for my partners 50th Birthday present. We chose Turkey as we have been before and the food was amazing. We could not have been more disappointed. Hotel- First impressions of the hotel were good despite it being a little worn with bleach stains on carpets etc. Our room was quite pleasant and clean. However, after a couple of nights we discovered it was very noisy and reception arranged to move us to another room when it became available. Unfortunately the sound of constantly slamming doors was replaced by loud music from the bar downstairs. Whilst most of the staff were helpful only a few spoke English which made communication of any problems very difficult. The beach was horrible with no chairs or loungers to sit on. The jetty was partly demolished. The gardens were pleasant with loungers but there were no outside bars open to get a drink. The advertised Celik shopping centre across the road was just a few tatty supermarkets and there is absolutely nothing to do in the local area. There was free entry to Land of Legends but the transfers only operated on Tuesdays and Saturdays. When we visited Land of Legends we found the shopping area and larger rides were closed and it was not worth a second visit. Restaurants and bars - There was supposed to be ‘no shortage of restaurants listing C bar, Turquoise restaurant self service buffet, Alara snack restaurant, Mermaid a la carte mediterranean fare, Barbecue a la catre for grilled meats and turkish kebabs, La Rosetta italian a la catre, Beach bar, Irish bar, Lotus bar, Patisserie and Lobby bar. The buffet restaurant, lobby bar, Irish bar, patisserie and lunchtime snacks at the Barbecue restaurant were available but the Italian restaurant and all outside bars were closed. The self service buffet was shoe horned into the smaller Italian restaurant with overflow tables put into the lobby bar. On a number of evenings we couldn't find a vacant table when we went down for dinner. Cats were wandering in and out and begging for food in all restaurants and staff did nothing to try and discourage them. I like cats but do not expect them to be allowed in an area where food is being served. On at least two occasions I observed staff throwing the cats scraps from plates they were clearing off the tables. There were also occasions when we encountered a seagull wandering around inside the barbecue restaurant. Food - The food served was substandard for a 5* hotel. The buffet menu was limited, unappetising and repetitive. Most food was lukewarm at best being ferried up from the main kitchens in guest lifts. We decided to try the snack bar for lunch as this offered pizza and burgers to order. The pizza was ok but the burgers were served on stale rolls with cold chips. Unfortunately the buffet restaurant was the only place serving food in the evening so we ended up living on salad and bread rolls. I booked the Barbecue a la carte restaurant for the evening of my partner’s birthday. There was table service but food and its presentation was only slightly better than the buffet restaurant, far below what I consider 5* let alone a la carte standard. We raised our concerns about the food with our holiday rep. He confirmed he had received a number of complaints from other guests and arranged for a member of the hotel management to speak to us. Nothing changed and no alternatives to the buffet were offered. We were told a number of times that things would be much improved in April when the hotel joined Tui Magic Life but this did not really help us while we were staying at the hotel. Unfortunately, we have to say this is the worst holiday we have ever had and the first time we have seriously considered booking an early flight home. It was incredibly disappointing given that the holiday was for a special occasion. Whilst we understand that there were some restrictions as it was low season the hotel details on the web site were misleading and misrepresented the holiday. It clearly states ‘best for luxury’ but we found it far from luxurious living on bread rolls and luke warm poor quality food for 10 days.

Soon to be turning to Tui Magic Life Beldibi. Plus notes: Beautiful grounds. Stunning sea view room. Helpful, caring staff. 40 mins from airport. Not so good: Food was shocking. Main restaurant closed for refurb. All squashed in to the Italian that couldn't cope with numbers. Limited choice and food was cold. The Fish restaurant became the Irish Bar after 22.00 and then the night club. Food was served fast as I think they were conscious it was becoming a bar in a few hours. The BBQ restaurant on the beach was the best but only serve 1 menu, 2 choices per course. Drinks: Fine if you were in the lobby bar. If you were down by the beach during the day, forget it. They opened the beach bar after a couple of days but for wine and beer only. If you fancied a cocktail, you were getting dressed and marching back to the main building. Swimming pool: closed for refurbishment (didn't know this before travel). Poked my head inside the indoor Spa pool but it had turned in to a kids pool. Pier: Seen the lovely pucs of the deck with it's sunloungers so thought we'd sit there. The boards had all been lifted and was roped off. Outside: Apart from a few market shops, everything else was closed. Walked 20 mins and found bar open. Apart from that there's nothing. In summary, the hotel has lovely grounds, the staff work very hard and are frustrated by the issues. Wouldn't stay here again and definitely not in winter months.

Niestety nie mam dobrych wspomnień z hotelu. Najsłabszym punktem była zdecydowanie restauracja i jedzenie - często rozgotowane, frytki zaparowane, brudny toster, często brudne naczynia i sztućce, a zwłaszcza spleśniałe pieczywo z plastikowych worków. Jedzenie w hotelu było koszmarem. Wstyd mi było przed dziećmi. Kucharze dokładając jedzenie, nie wymieniali brudnych sztućców do nakładania potraw. Bardzo stary i często brudny sprzęt do kawy, herbaty i rozwodnionego soku pomarańczowego. Leżaki na plaży brudne od ptasich odchodów. W siłowni brudny, zakurzony, poplamiony sprzęt (kartonik po soku pozostawiony przez dziecko na bieżni przeleżał tam cały tydzień). W siłowni tylko z grubsza była myta podłoga dużym odkurzaczam, co uniemożliwiało umycie całej podłogi. W efekcie w powietrzu unosił się kurz, który przeszkadzał w trakcie ćwiczeń. Na plaży sporo śmieci. W restauracji i w lobby wałęsające się koty, które wyjadały resztki z podłogi. Kelnerzy bardzo opieszali - talerze z resztkamim długo zalegały na stołach. Pokoje w miarę sprzątane, ale nie na miarę hotelu 5*. Nawet w niskim sezonie długo odmawiano mi możliwości pozostania w pokoju hotelowym z dziećmi dłużej. Ogólna ocena bardzo słaba. Nie polecam tego hotelu.
