Pro's: Large, comfortable, safe & secure room. Bed comfort was the best of my 3 weeks touring the Silk Road. Breakfast is filled with freshly prepared hot and cold foods, variety of beverages, fresh baked pastries and breads, fresh fruit, yogurt, 3 types of local honey and more. Service at the front desk was always attentive and accommodating. Location is ideal and centrally-located. Hotel is relatively new. Con's: None that I experienced. Many thanks for the Happy Birthday surprise piece of cake. Wow1 Would I return to stay here again? Yes. Would I recommend it to others? Yes.

Outrageous Cleaning Policy. Brand’s promise broken

I would have given them a 4, maybe a 5, because it’s nice, spacious hotel (US style) with smiling people all over the place; breakfast buffet is tasty and has many options, I loved the sunny light that enters the room, which also makes it cheerful. DOWNSIDE: when we came back after a spent day touring Almaty… we found out that our room had not been cleaned at all!…I dialed the front desk to let them know and expected a solution… instead they told me that “their hotel policy is to clean the rooms every other day”.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ????? What???!!! (I just came for two nights)… Of course that policy wasn’t informed when booking, or at check in. Although pricing doesn’t seem to be considering their policies.

I stayed four nights. The location was very good (4.5), as it was central for my purposes, and the airport was about 30-35 minutes away. Inexpensive taxis were abundant, through the YandexGo app. I reserved a 1-bedroom suite (#1102), and it was very good (4.5); it was large, nicely appointed, and clean. The hotel seems fairly new. The AC worked great, once I knew I had to notify the front desk to turn it on. Other than some street noise, the room was super quiet. The bathroom was nice, with a separate tub area. It took a bit of time to get hot water in the shower, though. Staff service was excellent (5.0); they were quick to answer my questions and requests. English was spoken by everyone, some better than others. For a mid-range hotel brand, the breakfast buffet was excellent (4.8). Lots of food and drink choices, including made-to-order eggs; however, I didn't know I could order them until my last day. They also had an array of French pastries each day. The food was good throughout the hotel, including in the bar. For my purposes, the gym facilities were fair (3.0), since it only had a set of dumbbells (2 to 20 kilos), a flat bench, an incline bench, and a few cardio machines. It was a disappointment.
