Illogic management and overpriced

Parking is inaccessible without unnecessary visit to the reception prior to taking care of your hand luggage. Everything is made without logic here. Parking is almost always half empty. Stupid management of it. The staff, well, it depends. They can greet you well, but farewell with insistence to double charge for breakfast, parking, regardless of prepaid vouchers including these services. Tbh, it's a good 3 star hotel. No more than that. The problem with Colmar and Alsace excluding Strasbourg is the same - a chronic lack of modern world class hotels. There are none there yet. The hotel cannot even afford to deliver decent baked ham without bone parts. So, what are you dear visitors talking about the hotel when giving 5 stars out of 5???

We are truly sorry to read that your experience led to frustration, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify several points. Regarding the parking, please allow us to explain its organization. Our parking is available by reservation only, which is why it is necessary to stop at the reception upon arrival to receive both the allocated parking space and the access card. This system allows us to manage availability fairly for all guests. That said, we fully understand that this may feel inconvenient upon arrival. Guests are welcome to leave their luggage at the reception before parking, or alternatively, once parked, to access the hotel directly via the elevators that connect the parking area to the guest room floors. Concerning the issue you mentioned about a possible double charge for breakfast and parking, we sincerely apologise for the confusion this may have caused. This is, of course, not acceptable. We would be grateful if you could share additional details (such as dates, booking reference, or invoices), so that we may investigate thoroughly and clarify the situation on our side. With regard to the breakfast products you mentioned, including the bacon, we work primarily with local producers and favour minimally processed ingredients. As a result, some products may appear more “natural” than what is found in industrial catering. We fully understand, however, that this may not match every guest’s expectations. We regret that your overall impression did not reflect the experience we aim to provide. Perfect family hotel in gorgeous Colmar

Wow! We’ve stayed in 3 Novotels this week; Basel, Strasbourg and Colmar. This one was by far the best! Such a modern, tasteful hotel with very spacious family rooms with separate luxurious shower and bath and separate toilet. The staff are so kind and go above & beyond to make you feel welcome. They have done up the hotel so beautifully for Halloween! There is a wellness area which opens at 9am but no pool. There is an underground car park with limited spaces (advisable to reserve in advance if you want it) - we parked in street parking outside which was 9 euros for nearly 24 hours compared to 20 euros for underground car park. It’s a 6 minute walk in to Little Venice from this well located hotel. Colmar is ridiculously beautiful, 100% fairytale! There is a small kids play area (could do with a few more things to do it in it maybe?) but it is so kid friendly (2 kids stay for free) there are plastic kids bowls and bibs etc at breakfast & they even gave the kids an Alsace gingerbread man toy! Breakfast was very good. Highly recommended signing up to Novotel rewards scheme as you get lots of bonuses here like a free gift and drinks if you are a gold member. You won’t regret choosing this wonderful hotel!

What a perfect hotel to stay in Colmar, the location was excellent, our room was spacious, breakfast was good, the bar area was inviting but the real highlight were the staff. Caroline, Ivan and their staff were courteous, engaging, extremely friendly and made our stay in Colmar one that we won’t forget. Thank you Kim and Mandy Tasmania

Good location with very good infrastructure

Comfortable and quiet place with OK breakfast and relative proximity to the beautiful Alsatian Old Town with a plethora of nice restaurants. As a transit and visit spot it is a very good choice. Colmar is probably the most beautiful Alsatian bigger town of the trio Strasbourg-Colmar-Mulhouse.

Great hotel & one we will stop in again on are travels to Colmar . Clean & Tidy Great staff and close to centre. Parking was great after a long drive. Mr C
