We stayed in an Ibis Hotel for the first time and will definitely return. We’ve chosen this for the convenient location to Baden with its excellent rail connections to Basel and Zurich airport. It’s also a cheaper option than the hotels in Baden. It is still easy and quick to get to Baden by public transport. The bus stop is right outside the hotel and a free bus ticket is available from reception for the no 2 bus into Baden. I’ve grown up in the region so know Baden very well. It’s a beautiful small city to stroll through. You can also take the foot bridge over to the Monastery island (Wettingen) and the former mill where there is a pizzeria and a beer garden. The weather was amazing so we enjoyed sitting in the beer garden eating a Bratwurst! The hotel itself has a nice bar area and outdoor sitting overlooking the car park. The hotel is located right next to the motorway but it didn’t bother us at all. The windows are super sound proof when closed so you can’t hear the cars or any other noise. The hotel itself was very quiet. No noise from other guests. The aircon was very welcome in the hot weather and worked well. The reception and bar area is very bright and inviting. We had a room on the 4th floor with a beautiful view over the river. The room was small and basic but extremely clean. I loved the bed & duvet. It was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept in. The bathroom was also spotless. It was quite small but at the same time the shower cubicle was spacious, much bigger than other showers. I absolutely loved it! The only 2 negative points is that there was no kettle in the room to make a cup of tea or coffee and no fridge. However, there was a hot water urn next to the bar downstairs with hot water available day and night. So again, not really an inconvenience. A small fridge would have been great especially in the hot weather of 34C degree. The staff was very friendly, helpful and efficient. I can highly recommend this Ibis Hotel. I will definitely stay there again and I will book Ibis Hotels more often. Thank you to the all the staff at the hotel. Well done!

Clean room with a beautiful river view, convenient location even by public transport, supportive and friendly reception staff (especially Mark), and plenty of breakfast! We loved our 12-day stay there from 17-27 May 2024 and highly recommend it.

This relatively new hotel has only goal: make money with the smallest rooms possible. There is no formal closet, just a couple of wooden walls, a tiny bathroom and a small sleeping area. Located on top of a busy highway, opening the window is not an option, unless you don't mind the noise of rushing traffic. The AC was broken and the employee we asked for assistance pretty much shrugged it off, when he couldn't fix it. Breakfast costs 22 CHF/person, parking is also extra. As I said, it's all about the money. Not impressed and won't go back.

Excellent stay at pleasant modern hotel

This was a very comfortable two night stay in a modern hotel in a smaller city. This hotel is not right in the center of Baden, so if you are not driving you will need to arrive by bus (stop right at hotel) or taxi. Free wifi. Clean modern room, not large but comfortable, with excellent breakfast buffet from 6:00 AM. About 100 meters to the right of the main entrance is a pedestrian bridge over the adjacent street, with paths leading down to the river and footbridge over the river toward town. Recommendation: ask for an even-numbered room. On this side of the building, the rooms look out over the mountains, river, and the nearby town. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Another hint: join the "frequent traveler" club of the company that owns Ibis ( for free): Accor Live Limitless. Among other perks such as on-line check in, you may be eligible for a 10% discount on your room.

Visiting the area, I chose this hotel for its convenient access by public transport - bus every 15min to downtown Baden - and reasonable price - cheaper than in the city centre. My overnight stay was excellent. A big thumbs-up for the whole staff: whether at reception or during breakfast, each team member was smiling and helpful. The room reflected the usual Ibis standards. Bed and mattress of good quality - I slept perfectly well. Congrats for the soundproofing which is truly excellent: despite the busy road passing by and the motorway just at the back of the hotel, I did not hear any noise at all. Compared to other Ibis hotels, this property is offering air-conditioning in all rooms - much appreciated during the hot days. As usual in Switzerland, room and bathroom spotlessly clean. Thumbs-up for the breakfast offer with a generous and tasty buffet: Various breads and Danish pastries from local bakeries, Swiss cheese, cold cuts, yoghurt and birchermuesli, fresh fruit salad, various preserves. Even scrambled eggs are available. All in all, an excellent and tasty experience, better than in other Ibis properties. This is an excellent address for a stay in Baden, with outstanding value for money. I will gladly come back.
