Perfect location for the metro

This Ibis is perfectly located as literally one minute walk from the Metro so easy to get in to Brussels town center. The hotel itself is spotlessly Clean. The only thing that lets itself down are the quality of the towels.They are so thin if you are tall etc you will need two to dry you. they allow dogs in the restaurant and the food is excellent. My only critique was we asked for extra towels as women like to wash their hair and they never arrived over our three nights stay even though we constantly asked.

We booked this for my 34th birthday, and after requesting a nice room that management would recommend, we arrived and checked into a great room with chocolates and a happy birthday note left in the room. The staff were extremely helpful and couldn't have provided a better service. Jude on reception in particular was great. He loaned me a travel adapter when we arrived and on our second evening, I suffered a bout of Ill health due to raised blood pressure. Jude helped provide a bag of ice to bring my temperature down and then called paramedics to treat me. We were so grateful for Jude's help and I'm sad that we didn't get to say goodbye when we checked out yesterday as he was off shift. If management read this, please send our thanks again to Jude. He is an asset to your hotel and great staff member to your team. In regards to the room, the bed was super comfortable and perfect size for us. The location is 20 minutes metro ride into central Brussels and the station itself is a 5 minute walk. The only thing I'd say is that the food was a bit bland and overpriced. Overall though, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Very noisy rooms

Hotel is extremely noisy and really any sound is heard through walls that are like made of paper. All the talking in next room and corridor can be heard like it was next to you. Nice stuff, modest but clean rooms, good pillows and bed. Breakfast is rather good.

Gamble on getting a parking space after you've paid upfront for your room.

We chose this hotel although it is far outside Brussels, for its secure parking, its one disabled bay and because it had a restaurant open for dinner on the nights we were going to be there. I find it unacceptable that the Accor booking system (not just this hotel) does not allow you to reserve a parking space (disabled or not) in a hotel with 81 rooms and about 25 parking spaces (1 disabled) before taking your money for a non-refundable room! You can only ask for a space and pay the hotel €10 per night on check-in. I emailed the hotel and was given assurances that "a" space - they could not specify the disabled space - would be saved for me. But I arrived early just to be sure. Full credit to the helpful staff! What was I supposed to do if I arrived and all the spaces were already taken? On most nights, their car park was full and there wasn't anywhere else nearby to park. Luckily, no-one else had a blue badge so I had no difficulty parking, but I do not like trusting to luck when there is an obvious solution. Do something about it, Accor!

Unclean and unhygienic

I recently stayed at Ibis Brussels Erasmus and was utterly appalled by the lack of basic hygiene standards. Upon checking in, I was told that the room had been thoroughly cleaned and prepared after the previous guest’s departure. On the surface, everything appeared to be in order—the bed was neatly made, and the room looked clean. However, what I discovered later that night was beyond shocking. When I pulled back the covers to get into bed, I was horrified to find period blood stains on the bedsheet, clearly left behind by the previous occupant. This absolutely revolting discovery made it clear that the hotel had not changed the bedding between guests, despite their assurances. It’s one thing to overlook a small detail, but failing to change the sheets—especially when they are visibly soiled—is inexcusable and utterly disgusting. This incident not only ruined my stay but also raised serious concerns about the hotel’s overall cleanliness and the health risks it poses to its guests. If this is the level of care they take with something as basic as changing the bed linens, it makes me wonder what other corners they are cutting in terms of cleanliness and sanitation. I strongly urge anyone considering a stay at Ibis to reconsider. A clean bed is the bare minimum one should expect from any hotel, and if they can’t even meet that standard, they don’t deserve your business. I will certainly never be returning and will advise others to steer clear of this establishment.
