Lovely stay and hotel in the countryside, with amazing staff

I primarily booked for business and expected just to be using the hotel to sleep, however upon arrival I was greeted with a warm and homely hotel. I thought I’d try the restaurant on my first night (expecting I’ll be ordering in or going out for food) but I was extremely impressed with the amount of food options and the quality! The food was so good I ended up eating within the hotel every night!! My favourite was the beef sizzler which the waitress recommended. The staff went above and beyond for me the entirety of my stay and nothing was too much for them. Specifically Amy who served me most evenings in the restaurant. Overall I had a lovely stay and will definitely be coming back soon! Again thankyou to all of the staff for making my stay so memorable.

I used to stay at another hotel in the area when I would visit the area on business but thought I would give this hotel a go as the reviews online seem very good and the hotel definitely lived up to it's expectations. The room was extremely comfortable and spotless and for a hotel with a lot of traditional characteristics (which gives the hotel a nice touch) the bedroom and bathroom were extremely modern. I stayed for 2 nights and had dinner on both evenings. The food was very tasty and the service was great as well. The waiter also recommended I have an 'old fashioned' cocktail which was a great after dinner drink. Would definitely recommend this place and will be staying at this hotel going forwards when I am in the area next Thank you for a great stay!

I had booked the Thame lambert to have a little getaway in the countryside and I had such a wonderful experience. To start, the Hotel is located in a nice quiet location which is perfect if you are looking to just get away and relax but also close to Thame if you’re driving or there is a bus stop close by that can take you directly into Oxford (Or London). The Hotel was clean and the rooms were ideal for our stay. I can’t say enough good things about the staff, they were all accommodating and happy to help with whatever we needed. The food was great, both ordering from the menu or the breakfast that was included. Will definitely be coming back

I celebrated my 50th Birthday, it was a wonderful party, as special as a wedding. Admiral and Amy is in the Events Team are superb, they made our party memorable, a wonderful celebration. Guests stayed, lovely rooms and experience, we stayed in the wedding suite. Catering excellent too. All first class. Would throughly recommend and no hesitation in using this venue again. Thank you again Admiral and Amy, what a great time. So much appreciated.

Large Group Booking - Wonderful Experience

We had a large group booking throughout August & September 2024 and were thrilled with the standard, attentiveness and organisation. Everything from the booking process to the hospitality granted towards our guests, we were well and truly looked after. Great communication from the back-of-house team handling our booking. Rooms all lovely and home-y - especially great for our group who were all working away, so ideal to come back to such a warm, comfortable hotel each night to feel like home. The staff were wonderful throughout and very accommodating - even the chef made amendments to the menu to accommodate dietary requirements for a member who stayed for over 3weeks so he did not have to eat the same dinner over and over!... the extra mile was definitely travelled by this team and it is hugely appreciated. I would definitely recommend staying here and will definitely be using more Mercure hotels in the future if this one is anything to go by! Thanks to all for looking after all of us.
