Very dated hotel. Chromecast did not work. Pool has a dirty bottom. No hot water so could not use shower despite being informed someone would come up and check. On departing asked for a discount due to inconveniencd, was told then there was a burst pipe out of their control, so couldnt provide any recompense, even though it wouldve been covered by insurance. Pretty bad state.

Pros: Hotel staff were friendly. Basic breakfast buffet, aside from various eggs and bacon, they had a couple more hot options on rotation like noodles or hash brown potatoes. Also had cereal, fruit, yoghurt, and about 6 gluten-free options. Accom was good. The beds were clean and soft. Rooms had wooden floors, TV, bath was mostly clean and functional. Cons: Mattresses needed upgrading due to sagging, shower/bath combo which we hate, also taps had mould/rust at the base where it attaches to the tiles. Balcony door was hard to open/close. Balcony tiles and surrounds were old and dirty. But the balcony plastic furniture appeared to be new and were clean and comfy. Pool was very basic but was disappointingly 10yrs past its prime - very old tiles, many of which were either missing or broken, felt dirty, and was most definitely not heated properly, it was pretty cold - that was the consensus of several different people staying on the 3 occasions I was down there. (Spa was warm). The pool speaker produced static and noise with a very occasional second of possible music - all was heard about 4 times during my 2hrs at the pool. Buffet was very basic and the unfortunate set-up guarentees congestion and was very hard to move around in. The cafe/bar downstairs was basic, but what we didn't like was that they stopped serving hot drinks and food from 8pm, despite the bar being open and pretty quiet. Pro and Con: location was in the heart of Caville, about 3 hotels back from the beach, but if you pay for ocean view you feel a bit closer. The hotel sits above a shopping complex that includes Woolworths, which was handy for all sorts of things. It's also amongst other shops and eateries on Caville Ave, with a short 5min walk to the beach. The downside of you're not clubbing, is that you'll hear the door door beats, music and 'carrying on' of people along Caville Ave on Fri, Sat, Sun nights till about 4am, though I got used to it on night 2, as I was very tired anyway. Uber drivers - we found them a bit rude in Surfers, compared to other States.

I am sorry that your room did not live up to your expectations which included a shower over bath, I would like to share with you that all of the refurbished Deluxe Rooms the baths have been completely removed to leave a large walk-in shower. I have shared your comments regarding breakfast and Boulevard Cafe & Bar with the Food & Beverage Operations Manager as we are constantly striving to improve our products and services throughout the Hotel. Lovely 3 night stay in a Deluxe Room overlooking Cavill Ave, the city and with ocean and Hinterland views. The room and bathroom are newly renovated and of a good size with large TV, fridge, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. There’s fabulous large toiletries provided, plus great hot shower. Breakfast has everything available in a buffet style. I personally prefer a cooked to order but we were still very satisfied. Reception staff were great especially Marvin who brought up our luggage. We were very pleased to have a birthday cake, bottle of Brut and balloons for my husband’s 80th in our room on arrival. The hotel is having some maintenance work done which is great as the lobby could do with an upgrade. It looks tired and outdated. All in all the location is brilliant so close to everything, G Link tram, shopping, restaurants, beach, river cruise and entertainment venues.

I stayed here only for a couple of days on business. Mixed feelings, although I must say that I did enjoy my stay. Hence the 4 star rating… but still need that extra “umph” to get my 5 star rating. So here it is: POSITIVE POINTS: + Stayed on the 35th Floor. WOW, what a view. Being this high up, almost no noise from the busy area. + I must commend the cleaning staff… the room was impeccable… and the common areas are also spotless, despite the works going on outside. + I will also say that the staff… be it in the reception… in the bar… or anywhere else – they are simply an asset to the hotel. EXCELLENT, my friends. + Of course, as most people will mention, it is right in the center of where you should be. A short walk to the beach… restaurants… bars… an anything you actually need. + Sleep quality is amazing. Bed comfy – pillow to my liking and simply relaxing. + Gym, for this type of hotel is great. Good equipment… all working perfectly. + Modern feeling in all areas SO-SO: +/- OK… so works are going on in the area, including lifts. Makes things awkward, especially in peak hours. The lifts take forever to arrive. I know that it is to improve things… but unfortunately, I was there during improvement works. +/- Swimming pool area… just so-so +/- Honestly speaking for the price of breakfast, I would recommend improving. No cheese, for example. +/- I must recommend that management looks into improving the Bathrooms. Don't get me wrong, they are not bad... but could use an update. NEGATIVE POINT: - Noting really to mention in this section, which is a pleasure to report. SUMMING UP: YES… I will return to this place. I know that the works going on is for improvement, and maybe next year, when I am back… everything will be perfect. Thanks.

I will not suggest anyone with a veggie family & healthy choice of brekfast persons to stay here. The staff especially the receptionists are already not as per requirement also they do not have a smiling attitude. Talking to them looks as if u had done a crime & asking for a sorry. Breakfast is a good English one but if u r health conscious then u will be disappointed Then again if u r veggie then bread & butter is the only good option. Hospitality is worse. The only good thing is the location. U can find everything nearby
