We have just returned from a five-night stay at Novotel Surfers Paradise in a Superior Ocean Front room. The positives first: the location is fantastic, right in the heart of Surfers Paradise and close to everything. The room was spacious, the ocean views overlooking Cavill Avenue were excellent. Check in was smooth and a special mention to Nathan, who was wonderful. I had bought flowers and chocolates for my friend’s room as she joined us for one night to celebrate our birthdays and he made sure everything was beautifully arranged, including a bottle of wine and a cupcake, which was a lovely touch. Unfortunately, several service details were lacking throughout our stay, which was disappointing given the hotel’s reputation and pricing. There was no spare toilet roll in the room, only the one already on the holder, we had to contact reception to get more. The soap dispenser in the shower ran out and was not replenished. Milk was not replaced after housekeeping and rubbish was not removed when the room was serviced. There were also no plates or cutlery provided in the room. When I called reception, I was initially told to collect them from the restaurant myself. After raising my concern, I was advised they would be delivered, however after waiting 40 minutes nothing arrived and I ended up collecting them myself so we could eat our takeaway on the balcony. There were times when no one answered, it took a few calls to get through or you just give up all together. Pool service lacked attention to detail, with empty cocktail glasses not cleared when new drinks arrived. A receipt also fell from the tray and was left to blow away in the breeze until I picked it up myself. Breakfast was extremely busy and appeared understaffed. Cutlery was not replenished the staff member cooking eggs was clearly overwhelmed managing multiple orders. While these may seem like small things individually, together they detracted from what should have been a quality stay. Having worked in hospitality for over 20 years, these are the basic details that make a difference. Great location and views, but service consistency needs improvement to match the price point.

Follow up my last year review . Nothing much has changed . It is mainly the convinient location and a brilliant friendly manager Lorrele otherwise the breafast bar has not improved at all if not worse while the price has gone up again ! Accor privillages are declining gradually towards complete withdrawal sooner or later ! Total rating should be 3.5 maximum

第一个问题我们从地下的停车场上酒店的、但电梯是停在5楼、怎样都不会停一层、那么我在5层等了10分钟、刚好有人下楼、不然我没有办法去Check In 第二个问题、电梯很慢。那天四部电梯、只有两部运作、酒店给我底层的房间、虽然我是白金会员、但酒店没有给我升级。我也愿意付升级费用。最后我用了30分钟等电梯、我的晚餐也迟到了。本来订了看日落、最后看星星。非常失望。 员工们都很好、但人手不足。 所有问题令我不会再考虑这间酒店了。

Waren für 1 Nacht im Novotel. Lage: absolut Top, 1-2 minuten zu Fuss an den Strand, Parkhaus im Einkaufscenter (gleiches Gebäude 18 AUD 24h). Zahllose Restos in unmittelbarer Nähe. Zimmer: waren in 3511, 35.Stock. Balkon, atemberaubender Ausblick auf den Strand, das Peppers Soul Hotel und Q1 Tower. Room: Balkon, Safe, fridge, alles da. Sehr zweckmässig, wenig Wohlfühlfaktor, das kennt man von Novotels. Zimmer insgesamt recht abgewohnt, refurbishment nötig, Bad war allerdings neu. Sauberkeit etwas vernachlässigt, ein getrocknetes Softeis lag in der Ecke des Balkons. Service/Personal: top !!! Fazit: für 1 Nacht aufgrund der Lage perfekt, aber eben nur 3 Punkte.

O hotel tem uma ótica localização, perto da estação do Tram - Estação Cavil. Na parte de baixo do hotel há uma galeria comercial, que tem até um supermercado. O elevador é super rápido, o que ajuda se estiver atrasado. As camas são adequadas e o apartamento dos fundos, com vista para Hinterland, como ficamos no 26º andar, tinha uma vista linda. O único ponto negativo foi o chuveiro, instalado um pouco baixo e com pouca pressão de água. O café da manhã (estilo inglês) atende bem aos padrões do hotel.
