We had a one night pop in to end our hectic week of travels. Check in was fine (even got in early). Family room 3511 was fantastic with great views and super comfortable beds!!!!! I would be more than happy for you guys to ship the king bed to me…..address is on file 😂 Breakfast had a great range and was super fresh! Love the bathroom shampoos etc…..even the kids loved it. Looking forward to a slightly longer stay later in the year! Well done Novotel.

Well located but service and room conditions let it down. Noisy pipes at night. Water leaking from taps and fridge. Maintenance fixed what they could, but only after I got hold of them myself. Concierge absolutely no help at all. Not what I expected from a hotel like the Novotel

I am sorry that you encountered leaking taps in your room during your stay and you had a further issue with your fridge which I am pleased Engineering were able to rectify for you. I apologise that you did not find Concierge responsive to your requests and i have shared your feedback with the guest Welcome Manager to ensure that our Team are confident to assist our guests whatever their requests may entail. Ona positive note I was pleased to read that you enjoyed the great location of the Hotel here in the heart of Surfers Paradise. We were checked in with Sheridan, a lovely lady who is very well mannered. She showed us a map of the rooms and asked which would suit us best. Thank you Sheridan. Breakfast was good and we had excellent service from Ann. She was polite and helpful and when I had some food related questions she was knowledgeable and rectified the problem I had. We booked an extra night after arrival which was a little frustrating as this couldn’t be done through the reception, but required us to call booking and request an additional night. This also led to some confusion when arriving from breakfast the following morning, but the maître was polite and competent and covered their error. Will stay again.

The Novotel is situated in the heart of Surfers Paradise with Cavill Avenue literally just around the corner. The beach is only a 2 minute walk away and the hotel is also situated above the Paradise Centre which can come in handy. The ocean view king room was well laid out, bed was comfy, water pressure in the shower was fine and had plenty of hot water. A small balcony afforded great views of Surfers and the coastline. The building is definitely showing its age and my only gripe about the room was the A/C struggled to get below 21 degrees. When I raised this with reception, I was advised that nothing could be done. The buffet breakfast was your typical spread, and included an egg station although the omelettes themselves were hit and miss. Overall a good choice if you are looking to stay in the heart of surfers and be close to the beach and always a good idea to request a room on a high floor.

Worst customer service ever experienced

Terrible check in experience with staff that were definitely not helpful. It is obvious they do not enjoy their jobs nor trained in customer service. I didn’t ask for anything complex beyond checking into my room and it felt like an inconvenience- recommend a different hotel if you value service
