Steeds vriendelijke ontvangst van de voituriers en receptie. De stilte in het hotel. Handige liften. Ruime moderne kamers, goede douche. Uitgebreid en lekker ontbijt (nog betaalbaar) Vriendelijk personeel in de bar (maar de bediening verloopt te traag, in vergelijking bij vroeger, we komen al redelijk lang naar So)

Dear Mr D., Thank you so much for your continued loyalty to both Accor and SO/ Paris, and for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review of your experiences with us. Reading that SO/ Paris feels “a bit like a holiday” for you is truly wonderful and means a great deal to all of us. We are delighted that you continue to enjoy the warm welcome from our valet and reception teams, the peaceful atmosphere of the hotel, the comfort of our spacious rooms, as well as our breakfast offerings. Your kind recognition of Pape during breakfast has been proudly shared with him, and we will also make sure to identify and thank the Finnish member of our porter team you mentioned. Your appreciation is a true source of motivation for our teams. We are however sincerely sorry that, during this stay, you experienced a longer wait at the bar than during your previous visits. This is indeed unfortunate, especially as this is meant to be a place where our guests can fully relax, enjoy the cocktails, and take in the beautiful view over Paris. Wij hebben een heel fijn verblijf gehad in het hotel, alleen vinden het zeer teleurstellend dat wij na vertrek uit het hotel nog een rekening krijgen voor een klein zakje chips waarvan ons niet is verteld vooraf dat die €10 kostte. Wij hebben in een paar dagen veel geld uitgegeven in het hotel aan eten en drinken, waaraan wij ook een geweldige ervaring hebben, er is zelfs nog tip gegeven waarvan wij hebben gezegd dat je die kosten daar maar vanaf moet halen als het daarom gaat. Vervolgens wordt het alsnog van de rekening afgeschreven wat wij niet hadden verwacht van jullie, wij hadden een goede review willen schrijven maar blijkbaar was de €10 belangrijker.

Regarding the charge for the minibar item, please allow me to clarify our procedure. As part of our standard practice, we carry out a post-departure minibar verification process. Even though we also check consumption at departure, it can occasionally happen that items are consumed but not recalled at the time of check-out. In your case, this is very likely what occurred, which led to the adjustment being made after your departure. We were therefore a little surprised, as we understood from our previous exchange that you were in agreement with the charge at the time we contacted you, even kindly suggesting that it could be offset against the breakfast tip left during your stay. At no point following our message did we receive any indication that you were not aligned with this procedure or the adjustment made. Please rest assured that this process is applied consistently to all our guests, and there was absolutely no intention to create any discomfort. We are sincerely sorry if this situation was perceived differently, as this was certainly not our intention. We also completely understand your disappointing , especially considering your positive overall experience with us. It is never our aim for a small detail to overshadow the quality of your stay.
