Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort 5 stelle

It is disappointing that I feel a need to give feedback on our recent stay at this resort. The reason for our visit was to quietly celebrate our recent anniversary, and so we considered a stay at the Sofitel a real treat. Our experience was far from our expectations and the money that we had paid just did not seem worth it. During the booking process, I requested a high floor as we just love views. On arrival, we were greeted in French and asked how was our flight. I’m confused as this is Australia and we only travelled up from the Gold Coast, so a little research into our booking would have made the initial greeting a bit more personal. During check-in I once again requested if we could have a higher floor, but was told they were fully booked and so we had to make do for one of the lowest levels. This was the complete opposite to what we were wanting. Once we got to our room, we discovered that the balcony had a solid wall with plants, therefore obscuring the little view we had whilst seated. I couldn’t sit out there at night as the sandflies that obviously reside in the plants made a feast of me. Plus, the noise level from the pool area each night did not contribute to having a relaxing stay. While we were pleased with the spaciousness of the room, we were disappointed by the stains on the carpet, settee and dining chairs; the dust on the fan blades and worse, the carpet had crumbs from a previous occupier. The bathroom was very dated and going by the overall appearance of the spa bath, we did not feel compelled to use it; this certainly is not the standard of the Sofitel brand. For a five-star hotel, this was certainly a huge disappointment overall. We feel that we did not get value for money and we felt sad that our celebration was marred by the low standard of the room we were given. As we wouldn’t have got a refund if we turned around and went home, we stuck it out. Unfortunately, this has deterred us in ever booking this hotel again for a return visit, as it is clear that the management of this property is not ensuring that the Sofitel brand is protected; there simply was no pride shown in the maintenance of this property.

If there was a sixth star button I would have selected it at this place. The staff (every single one of them) are amazingly courteous, willing to assist and so polite and service orientated. As soon as you walk into this place, you feel like you're on holidays. The rooms are terrific. We had the river room and the sunset was amazing. The facilities are first class with an amazing pool area, pool bar and high quality food at breakfast and dining areas. The Spa centre was also amazing. We celebrated our 20 year wedding anniversary here and glad we did. Thank you Sofitel for a wonderful experience and memory.

This is a very comfortable, spacious room. A big desk, a nice size table for eating, it had a microwave and refrigerator, a sofa by the tv, and a lovely balcony with a view of the pool and the ocean. I love that they don’t use single use plastic in this hotel. The dispensers in the bathroom have lotion, shampoo and conditioner- and they avoid the individual tubes altogether. Bravo. The pool area is great with lots of chairs and umbrellas. One can walk to the beach in 5 minutes. Go out the back of the hotel and there’s a mini shopping area with cafe’s, gelato, and a deli that has everything. Very convenient.

My wife and I spent three nights here last week. Terrific location that is only one block from the main beach and a 2-minute walk to shops and restaurants. Quiet room (pool view side), impressive breakfast selection (recommend pre-booking breakfast as part of your stay package for only $30 AUD or $21 USD at the time of currency translation), swim-up pool bar with stools and easy self-parking underground garage. Very nice staff and clean rooms. Highly recommended!

Its been a while since I've travelled and written a review. My adult family decided we needed a break and chose Noosa and the Sofitel Resort there to lay back and relax for 8 days. There isn't a single staff member at the Sofitel who hasn't a smile on their face. The reception we received was of old friends, the rooms are big and roomy, as are the bathrooms. The breakfast restaurant had an abundance of staff - service excellent and a great range of breakfasts to please anybody. Self parking was easy and always found a spot. The pool was always sparkling and any position could find sun or shade. Well situated to walk in any direction including the river ferry and the beach. Hastings street always welcoming and busy. Great view from our room also - cars crossing bridge into Hastings street, small swimming lagoon, and terrific views up the river inland - people getting on/off the ferry. Rosellas in the trees. Balcony was a great place to watch the world go by.
