A great family getaway

Honestly after reading some of the reviews online I was a bit worried about our stay with my family of four plus our extended family. Checking in was a little slow and finding our car park and room took a minute even with the map, we went for a walk without our luggage first so we could comfortably find our room. Honestly I would recommend this if you are unsure of where you are going. Once we established our “base” moving around the resort was a breeze. Our room was tidy and clean, a little bit worn but overall we were happy. An extra bin in the room and a floor mat at the patio door would have not gone astray, trying to stop the kids walking sand into the room wasn’t easy. We had a great day swimming and lounging by the pool and enjoyed the cocktails on offer and the shade from the umbrellas. We had one dinner onsite and I was pleasantly surprised at the food, it was good. I specifically had the chefs paella special and it was 10/10 fantastic. Overall I would stay here again as a quick getaway from home. We didn’t need to hook into the wifi as Telstra had great reception anyway so there was no need.

The resort is nice, but is it saying something that the lobby is the highlight? Of course it is shiny and very nicely decorated, with a good restaurant, coffee/snack bar, and indoor/outdoor bar. But the rest needs a remodeling! Our room was a bit distant from the lobby, which I don’t mind. It gives an opportunity to walk and gaggle at the resident kangaroo family, the dragon lizards, or the turkeys that roam the grounds. What I did mind was the lack of wifi - is this a first world problem to complain about no room wifi, having to go to the lobby to get work done? Had conniption fits with draining my data eSIM because I never expected to use so much. The room felt damp, given how much it was raining, and the shower drain was infested with tree roots which delayed water drainage. Housekeeping was spotty - some days we had a great service, other days towels were incompletely replaced. Given the heavy rains, resort drainage was also plus/minus. Walkways were sometimes flooded and presented slip/fall risk. If the resort invests in upgrades, wifi repeaters, and landscaping, then it would be as fantastic as the lobby would seem to predict!

Great for lounging around but not really the place for events that require precision and timing

While the surroundings are peaceful and great for families with kids, resident kangaroos add to the sense of chill out, I didn't enjoy this location. The rooms are very spread out across the location, which makes room service a bit of a joke. The WiFi was dreadful, with about 10 mins of connectivity before it fell out (again and again). The air con was very noisy and did the full kick on and off in the wee hours of the morning. The first morning a false fire alarm sounded at 430am...with a 530 start that was not easily snoozed away. Housekeeping was pretty lax, with used cups not replaced and rubbish not removed. The food at breakfast was okay, but the menu for lunch was dreary. Very little imagination in the way of food for the average punter. (although event catering was much better). This place is fine if you have all day to check in, or wait in line to ask questions of the staff. Some of the bar staff were pretty charmless. Overall i wonder whether there is enough staff... Not the place for business events where you need a sense of efficiency. Fine if you are there to lounge around.

Superbe hotel bien situé , beau lobby , grande et agréable chambre vue mer , la literie pourrait être améliorée. Végétation magnifique . Un paradis tropical sur la sunshine coast. Nous y avons diné , la nouriture est correcte et le service excellent. Petit déjeuner buffet impressionnant mais malheureusement de piètre qualité . Le café n'est pas bon . Les plats sensés être chaud sont froids ....

Hotel em volta de um lago é perto da praia . Lugar muito tranquilo e com comida muito boa . Café da manhã completo , tudo de ótima qualidade . Ótimo lugares para correr e fazer caminhada . No hotel vc pode fazer caiaque e vela no lago. Recomendo muito
