A good location hotel in Umeda but very small room.

A small no frills hotel with good location in Umeda. It is about 7mins walk from Umeda station. There is KIX airport shuttle bus in this zone too. Hotel staff are friendly and mostly able to speak English but room is really tiny including their toilet. Almost impossible to open 2 luggage on floor so we just keep it closed until packing time. Hotel breakfast not bad and offer good Costa brand coffee.

A Major plus point for Ibis Osaka Umeda is the proximity to Osaka Station and Osaka Umeda Station, with all connections for regional exploration. Also, an abundance of restaurants, bars, and shopping await you. KIX is about 45 minutes away, and the metro is a 5-minute walk to Osaka Umeda Station. Hotel staff are international and speak various languages. The breakfast buffet is more on the basic side, and we explored other options in the area. Rooms are small, as usual for Japan.

Location! It’s near the train station & subways. Just take a lift down one floor and enter amaze of shops & access to transport. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Rooms were small as expected in major Japanese cities. Hardly any room to move about, esp with luggage taking up space. Staff were helpful esp Mami who took the time & effort to show us how to get to the underground mall.

Recently stayed here for two nights and found the rooms very clean and comfortable albeit small. However this is typical for hotels in Japan. The hotel is closely located to the underground malls which makes it so easy to get to the Umeda and Osaka stations. Only area for improvement is the quality and variety of the buffet breakfast where we found the variety limited and hot food cold. However the location is what it is known for. The staff were very welcoming, polite and helpful. Great if you’re passing through and want to be close to the station.

The facilities at the Ibis Osaka Umeda were truly impressive for a hotel of its star level. Everything felt well maintained and thoughtfully designed, which made my stay very comfortable. The location is absolutely amazing, directly across the road from a 7-Eleven, with underground access to a vast mall area filled with a variety of shops and restaurants. It’s also just about a 3-minute walk to Don Quijote, making it exceptionally well situated in a vibrant part of Umeda. The room was small, but this is quite standard for Japanese hotel rooms and expected given the price and excellent location. Despite the size, the room was exceptionally clean, which made the stay all the more pleasant and comfortable. The staff were quite impressive, friendly, approachable, and genuinely nice to deal with, which added a warm touch to the overall experience. I really loved the hot and cold water dispenser in the lobby; I found myself frequently refilling my water bottle using that. There was also a microwave available, so if you wanted to purchase something from a nearby convenience store, you could easily heat your food in the lobby and take it with you to your room to eat. Breakfast was very reasonable with a good range and reasonable diversity of food, and the standard of food was pretty decent, particularly for the price. This convenience, quality, and service make it a great choice for both leisure and business travelers, solidifying its reputation as a decent, well-positioned hotel option.
