Excellent service from James at the lobby

We were walking pass the lobby and it was pouring rain and wanted to try some authentic local food which were affordable and delicious (me and my husband wanted to immerse into the way the local live) , our mood were dampen, however, a friendly chap by the name of James approached us with a greeting, he was very friendly and charming and gave us great recommedations to the heartlands of singapore which was a few stops away from orchard road named toa payoh, he ensured us that we wouldnt get wet in the rain and boy was he right! We tried chicken rice and hokkien mee which were simply delicious we also saw many goverment built houses surrounding the area which gave us a sense of "localness" he graciously took nice pictures of us by the chinese new year decorations around the hotel lobby telling us the colour red in chinese culture brings luck and prosperity! Kudos to James for such excellent recommedations!

Our family trip to the Fairmont was nothing short of exceptional. The team went above and beyond to ensure our experience was seamless and memorable. A special highlight was the Gold Lounge, where June, James, and their amazing team made us feel like part of their family. Their warmth, attention to detail, and personal touches made every day a delight. I highly recommend staying at the Fairmont, particularly in rooms with Club access—it truly elevates the experience. We can’t wait to return!

I had a great experience meeting James Yong while waiting in the lobby. He was very friendly, approachable, and easy to talk to. James offered to take photos of us with the Chinese New Year decorations without us even asking, which was such a nice gesture. What stood out the most was his knowledge of Singapore. He gave us some great recommendations for places to visit that aren’t the usual tourist spots, which we really appreciated. James is a real asset to your team. He’s great with people and answered all our questions confidently. Thank you for having such a wonderful staff member—he made our visit even better

The Farimont has a well earned reputation for excellent service and this is best exemplified by our experince on a rainy afteroon in the form of our jnteraction with their staff Special shout out to James of Farimont 25Floor Gold for his good cheer and professionalism. It is a joy for us to feel not only welcomed but special under hsi care.

The Fairmont should be high on your list of preferred hotels in Singapore. We arrived from an overnight flight at around 9am and were immediately checked in to our Gold floor room rather than having to wait (we had booked the Gold Floor so we would have had the use of the lounge). The room was spacious with a fantastic harbour view along with a balcony. Don't hesitate to book a Gold room - the lounge service makes all the difference especially if you are a bit jet lagged. The lounge was never crowded and they served breakfast until late along with a chef to cook fresh egg dishes etc. In the evening, the happy hour included an almost full meal with lots of hot and cold food - way more that "canapes". The hotel is perfectly located for all the main attractions and shopping and the service from staff both in reception and on the Gold floor was second to none.
