Raffles lives up to it’s reputation. It is clearly a Grande Dame hotel, and you feel that from the minute you pull in to the gravel driveway. The front desk service is excellent. The concierge team, especially Diana, are excellent. Diana saved us countless hours of wondering if what we had been told to see and do was really worth it. She pointed us in the right direction for us and it was perfect. The history tour of Raffles, led by Mr Nazir, was wonderful! He is a fount of information about this storied property. It is well worth your hour to hear and see everything he knows. He was engaging and smart and funny and it was an excellent tour. The butlers do an incredible job. The rooms are all suites, and they have the character and charm of old colonial Singapore. The rooms are all modernized, with controls on an iPad for your lights, thermostat, TV, etc. The breakfast is expansive, but service can be a bit slow sometimes. Overall, it is well worth the money to stay here for the experience of it.

Raffles Singapore is the definition of timeless hospitality done properly. From the moment you step through the doors, the service feels effortless: warm, attentive, and never hovering. The suite was beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, and genuinely quiet despite being right in the centre. Breakfast was excellent with quality ingredients and calm, polished service. The grounds and courtyards are stunning and make the whole place feel like a retreat rather than a hotel. Yes, it’s a premium price point, but the experience matches it. If you want Singapore with heritage, grace, and serious standards, this is it.

The heritage tour was an enjoyable experience

Our family booked the heritage tour on a Saturday and it was an enjoyable time hearing from our guide Nazir about the hotel’s history. We had a short walk around the ground and second floors. The premises are beautiful, pristine and serene. We enjoyed the Christmas decorations very much. The tour included a delicious lunch at the Raffles courtyard and a surprise gift.
