zu meinem Geburtstag im Dezember durften wir in diesem ikonischem Grand-Hotel übernachten. Was für ein fantastischer und unaufdringlicher Service, von der Ankunft über dem Butler-Service bishin zum High-Tea ein Erlebnis. Narendra , der Porter, begrüsste uns stets mit Namen und den Worte ' welcome home'....Für mich eines der besten Hotels der Welt!

Nach unserem 3-wöchigen Aktivurlaub in Laos und Kambodscha, war bereits der Empfang am Flughafen, der Limousinentransfer und vor allem der Empfang am Hotel durch Herrn Vikram für uns sehr angenehm, der sich mit Irene (guest relations) und Wy Lin (butler) fortsetzte. Unsere Suite im 2. Stock war (leider war im 3. Stock keine Suite, trotz Anfrage 6 Monate im Voraus, verfügbar), entgegen unseren Erwartungen, nicht durch den Verkehr auf der Bras Basah Road beeinträchtigt. Trotzdem werden wir bei unserem nächsten Besuch im Jahr 2027 eine Suite im obersten Stockwerk (3. Stock) bevorzugen. Auf Top-Niveau war der Service durch Joy beim sehr guten Frühstück und der für 5 Tage verfügbare Frühstücksplatz in der Grand Lobby. Auch Euer Concierge-Service hat unsere Wünsche perfekt erfüllt (z. B. Präsentation des Raffles Sentosa durch Mico). Der herzliche und persönliche Kontakt mit Roslee und Leslie (resident historien) hat uns an die ebenfalls sehr herzlichen und persönlich unaufdringlichen 8 Aufenthalte in den letzten 4 Jahren im Bristol in Wien erinnert. Auch in diesem Art-Deco Haus hat Simone (Dullies) als General Manager die Seele des Hauses (= die jahrzehntelangen Mitarbeiter) unterstützt, den präsenten, aber unaufdringlichen 5-Sterne-Service auch den neuen Mitarbeitern zu vermitteln. Besonders genossen haben wir auch das ungestörte Snooker-Spiel oberhalb Eurer Long-Bar. David (executive assistant manager rooms) hat unsere 5 Tage in Singapore, unter vielem anderem, auch durch seine persönlichen Quartier-Empfehlungen (Kempinski, Bülow, Schloss Eckberg) für unseren späteren Besuch der Stadt Dresden perfekt abgerundet. Der abschließende Limousinen-Transfer wurde durch Euren Concierge und Hr. Narendra begleitet und wird uns sehr angenehm in Erinnerung bleiben.

Wir haben uns im Raffles Hotel sehr wohl gefühlt. Unsere Suite 239 im Haupthaus war perfekt für uns. Der schöne Balkon mit dem Blick auf den Brunnen einfach schön. Die kurzen Wege durch das wunderschöne Treppenhaus ins Restaurant und zum Pool waren sehr angenehm. Besonders möchte ich den Service von Frau Pudine?, ich hoffe es ist richtig, und die hohe Qualität beim High Tea erwähnen und mich sehr dafür bedanken. Der ganze Aufenthalt war ein Highlight und ein perfekter Abschluss unserer 5 Wochen Weltreise.
