I loved this hotel 25 years ago and I love it today. After almost 40 hours of traveling, I couldn’t imagine a more gracious place to check into … even after my cab driver gave up on the crowded streets and I had to walk the last 1/4 mile. Rooms are elegant, the pool is lovely. The location — steps from the river, the Art Deco Central Market, the Royal Palace, and the tranquil Wat Penh, can't be beat. (It’s also really close to American Embassy in case you need that). Settling into the sophisticated Elephant Bar, I could imagine Jackie Kennedy seated on a leather couch across from me, enjoying a Femme Fatale, the cocktail named for her when she visited the hotel in 1967.

Our objective was to have a relaxing and calm 3 days at the hotel to celebrate 2 family events, which we had indeed. Everyone took good care of us. We had dinner in both restaurants. We have enjoyed the food. Thank you to the F&B for the surprise birthday cake on our 1st night at "Le Royal Dinner'. The room is comfortable though we could hear noise from the corridor such as suitcases, people talking and so on. We had a good service at the bar with a family atmosphere during the day. Points to improve: 1. The music in the lobby is too loud. When we were having dinner on our 1st night, we could hear 2 different type of music (1 in the restaurant and 1 in the lobby). On 2nd night, we had dinner at the Phnom 1929. We chose a wine but then we were being told that they don't have it anymore. Would be better when handing over the wine list to inform customers to avoid disappointment. 2. The music at the bar as well is loud that we had to speak loudly to hear each other. 3. We used the Spa. The section of the sauna and toilet should always be clean. `There were water on the floor and paper in the toilet. After the massage, there is no place to relax for a few minutes. You are just rushed to the reception area.

One of a number of hotels visited on the trip. Good experience but not the best. There were a couple of issues with the room . The bath overflow leaked and flooded the floor, hand basin was cracked. The ATM machine was out of order for the whole stay (bank holiday) Overall staff were good

We stayed for 4 nights here . So perfectly and stylishly presented . Staff amazing friendly professional and helpful . Supper stylish lobby . Room amazing dressing room , bedroom , lounge area and bathroom . Plus balcony overlooking the pool . Great breakfast , super efficient and great choice of food . Happy hour in the evening with great choice cocktails ..be careful not to be carried away . Great location and easy to get around . Fair sized gym , quiet , bit warm though , but good choice kit . 2 swimming pools with lingers and good service through the Daun. Great place of refinement and style . Great to see that Jackie Onassis been here and Charles De Gaulle too .. it just exudes style .. loved it . A real treat . Stay if you can .
