A fabulous hotel in a classic building in top location.Great staff,young,friendly,knowledgeable.The o ly issue with the hotel is the lack of a bar and lounge.The basement bar is fine but primarily visited by non hotel guest.Also a lounge where you can just relax with a coffee.Having a smokers bar next to the entrance is an odd feature 2025.

Wonderful stay (thanks to the amazing staff!)

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. When I arrived, a kind young intern gave me a hotel tour before my room was ready, which made me feel very welcomed. And during check-in, Tessa who was incredibly friendly and beautiful inside and out came with me to my room and explained everything with such kindness. The room itself was spotless, the view was absolutely breathtaking, and every part of the service was perfect no matter where I went in the hotel. Everything felt warm, thoughtful, and very professional. Tessa especially made my stay unforgettable. Her warm smile, caring attitude, and the way she helped me made my time in Hamburg feel even more special. I’m truly grateful for her. I already miss Hamburg, and I would happily stay at this hotel again on my next visit. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Very nice hotel

We are centurion members but booked through booking the first night because it is not possible to book accommodation on the same day on the amex website. We chose a room without breakfast because I only eat one egg for breakfast. Since we booked through centurion the next day, we asked if we could keep the same room. It was fine if we paid 200 euros. We said ok, then I asked "is breakfast included because otherwise I will take room service because I only eat ONE egg". The young man then replied yes I will add them without cost.The next day we were going to pay at the reception and the most unpleasant young girl with glasses and reddish/blonde hair was there. Then she added 98 euros for breakfast. I told her the whole story but she didn't believe me and asked me to give the name of the guy who promised this. How do I know what your employees' names are? She insisted that we had booked without breakfast. So now I had to pay 98 euros for an egg. a joke!! .as you see my previous reviews we only stay in 5 star hotels and this service was the worst I have experienced. want to point out that she was the only one who was horrible. If she hadn't behaved like that, you would have gotten five stars. Champagne costs 33 euros for 1 deciliter, there was no sparkling wine available to buy.

The rooms are exceptionally clear and very elegant. Yet the reception were very cold. I have never experienced such an attitude as if they don’t care about giving their guests any welcoming hospitality. Yet The other staff were professional. I wouldn’t book here again , Hamburg is a city that is full of great options, I was used to the Hayat in Hamburg, Unfortunately I found out it is permanently closed
