We had two rooms reserved for the night; an annual trip with my father. This was the first time I remember being disappointed in our many visits to the Olympic; I was married here in 2013 and it’s a very special property to me. One room was not ready until hours after check in; we didn’t receive a call back from management when we were promised one and no notice as to the room being ready, instead we had to go to the desk after dinner to ask again. We were offered a drink voucher for our trouble which has always been a perk of membership in the past but not offered upon check in this time. The attention to detail in the rooms and the service was sorely lacking as compared to our many years of experience at this hotel.

I sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you experienced, especially considering your fond memories of our property and your long-standing patronage. I regret that one of your rooms was not ready at the time of check-in and that you did not receive the follow-up communication from our management team as promised. This is not reflective of our usual standards. Additionally, I understand your disappointment regarding the lack of a drink voucher upon check-in, which is typically part of our membership benefits. We strive to maintain high levels of service and attention to detail, and it is clear we fell short during your visit. This makes me sad, but your feedback is invaluable to us as we continually seek to enhance our guest experience. There was a long, slow, backup from 4th to the Valet parking. The long line for registration took forever to navigate. BUT, everyone was extremely pleasant throughout the lengthy wait time. With so many holiday celebrations it was probably a big contributing factor. There was a big glitch with room service, but the front desk made it right and, hopefully, the issue will be resolve to avoid future occurrences. All in all, it was a very festive and fun stay. I am hopeful mgmt. will work toward resolving the issues in future.

WE decided to take our grand children to a Broadway show and stay over night in Seattle even though we live locally. It was a Christmas surprise with a show, dinner and over night stay. Checking in was wonderful and easy. Valet parking was great!! We got to our room and changed for the evening events. Went to have a drink with the kids, sat and waited and waited for anyone to serve us. After two servers walked past us telling us they would be right back, we waited more. I finally gave up and went to the bar and ordered our drinks. A Vodka martini, a glass of red wine, a Shirley Temple and a Blueberry lemonade. I confirmed them with the bartender. The one server finally came by and I told her I had already ordered. She brought the two drinks, my martini and my granddaughter's "blueberry lemonade". It didn't look or taste like lemonade. I made sure it had no alcohol in it. Then my husbands' red wine came and my grandsons' Shirley temple. Again, it did not look anything like the drink ordered (Shirley temple) or taste like it. The server then came by again with another drink for my grandson saying well this one has a cherry in it! I was surprised to say the least from a Hotel of this caliber and reputation. One more thing, there was no soap in the room to use in the shower. I called and no one answered and an automated response came on so I left a message about getting soap. (room 948). December 29th. We never received a call, response or soap.
