We just spent 4 nights at the Fairmont Olympic and we had a great time. The hotel was excellent in every way. Downtown location made it easy to get around without a car. In fact, I walked around town early every morning and my wife and I walked all afternoon. The Washington State ferries (we went to Bainbridge Island one day) are just a short walk away as well. At the hotel, the lobby and the Olympic bar were epic! The decor was awesome too. Spa was great (we both got massages). Coffee shop in the lobby was very convenient. The service was A+, especially the Assistant Director of Rooms, Christian Scherping. He was very friendly, helpful, made great suggestions for dinner (Shuckers is a must), and he always took the time to talk with us even though I'm sure he was very busy. We first met Christian when he worked at the Fairmont Grand in Del Mar (Southern CA) where he made such a great impression on us that, when he accepted his current position at the Fairmont Olympic (where he is now) we decided to come up and stay at this hotel too. Also, Sayaka the Concierge was outstanding. Very helpful with directions, reservations, and information about Seattle. Two excellent employees at an excellent hotel. Would highly recommend staying here. You will be well taken care of.

All of the staff we encountered were very helpful and the AI phone attendant did a nice job of understanding the things we needed...ie, extra towels, robe, etc. and got them delivered to the room quickly. My biggest complaint would be the valet parking cost...about $100/night after taxes is just stupid!!

Conveniently located and a tradition for our family. Service is exceptional but the guest rooms are showing signs of wear and the food and beverage service is limited to George until the lobby bar opens at 2pm weekdays. The reno at George is lovely but the bar experience falls short of the iconic lobby bar.

My husband and I stay with you once or twice a year. We plan a date weekend and love the location of the Fairmont Olympic and I especially am appreciative of the fitness room, pool, sauna and in hotel bar. However, there are a few things that are noticeable changes. My hotel room was not very clean. There was splatter residue on the walls in the bathroom and hotel room. My request months in advance to be away from the elevator was not honored even at check in which made the room very noisy, and the vibe of the hotel seems more like a party vibe rather than an elegant, relaxing environment. Check in staff were also very unfriendly. If I am paying for a three-night stay at this hotel I expect an elevated customer service experience. We are looking at other properties to stay in the future.

The location was good. I chose the hotel through Accor and probably would have preferred a slightly upgraded premise. I found the shower over bath a bit dated, but that is a small quibble.

check in was a little light for a seahawks game day but able to get into room early which is always appreciated. Called down for our car early as it often takes 20+ mins to get car. they said car would be out in 10 mins which was a pleasant surprise so we rushed out and still ended up waiting over 20 mins for car to arrive

There was paint or plaster smeared all over the wallpaper in the bathroom (around the toilet area, I think the room number was 332). Any time I needed service, I would be answered by a robot on the telephone, and I had to wait for a long time on hold without ever being put in touch with anyone. It was disappointing, and I had to personally walk down to the front desk to request anything.

Upon arrival after check in, the do not disturb sign was posted and the room had been entered into at least twice by housekeeping. Which is to say that the room wasn't ready when we originally checked in and they needed to fix things which is not a good look. Upon arrival on Sunday morning there was a fridge in the room separate from the mini-bar fridge in which I had placed various groceries from Pikes Place Market and homemade desserts my family had made. Come Sunday afternoon, after we attended the Seahawks game, we returned to our room to find the fridge had been removed and all the contents with it. Extremely disappointing. Some compensation was offered by staff but in my mind not nearly enough.
Beautiful hotel bar though, Jacob the bartender is great!
