I love the Fairmont brand, but this particular hotel is an embarrassment to Fairmont. The service is mediocre, concierge hours are short and the rooms have significant stains on the bathroom wallpaper. Is it unfortunate because the structure and public areas are beautiful. I suggest going elsewhere where they maintain their property and train the staff.

Our room was directly located above the ballroom where a party or wedding reception was being held. At 10:00 on Saturday night, the party was in full swing with the DJ playing booming music. The manager “thought “ it would end at 11:00. He did also generously adjust my room charges but c’mon - this should be UNACCEPTABLE for the Fairmont. If I wanted a raucous party to keep me up after a long trip from the east coast - I could stay at a far cheaper hotel.

Certainly the people were wonderful. My disappointment was in two areas. I used the men's locker room adjacent to the pool. In the showers the best I could get was luke warm to cool water. The body wash bottles in both showers were gone - no sign of them any where. The lotion bottles by the sinks were completely empty. Obviously a lack of monitoring. When we went to check out the Ai system could not understand a request for someone to come get luggage. It thought I was trying to check in and find my luggage to get it to the room. Then I was put on hold - 20 minutes later I surrendered and went down to the front desk. There was only one person there with a line of 5 guests waiting. I then went down to the northern driveway - virtually no one around - I finally took a luggage cart up to the room and brought our luggage down by myself. We have noticed on our recent visits that you simply don't have enough backup to your AI system - if the system doesn't understand the request it is always a 10 to 20 minute wait to talk to a human being. I have stayed with you for 71 years, I am disappointed to experience the decline in service. Garry S.

Management was very flexible and accommodating. I booked the wrong date for our stay, and I was granted a partial credit. Even more importantly, the hotel was able to accommodate us on the day we arrived. I sincerely appreciate the service we received and will remain a loyal customer as a result.
