Great place Good size room and bathroom With an outdoor shower to dust of the sand from.the beach The landscaping and amintes are great A little bit about mayakoba Is a 600 acre complex with Fairmont Fairmont heritage Rosewood and banyana tree resorts It is well spread out and u have over 20 restaurant on site

First impressions of hotel, was just what I was looking for , lovely jungle environment , lots if wildlife and good size rooms , fairly good location to get into playa de carmen or arrange trips The biggest let down is the food ,all menus are very limited and not enough variety in resturants , the neighbouring hotels offer better quality of food but are highly priced , no evening entertainment, and what was put on over xmas was poor and chargeable. As a well travelled family we found this resort to be over priced , however we would recommend Mexico as a holiday destination, just be very aware of scammers around the airport and being wrongly advised by hotel staff to keep you within the hotel .

Our second time there, stayed in the penthouse with family this time. Have nothing but wonderful things to say about this resort again, food, incredible, service, impeccable, they do not miss any attention to detail and beauty here. The staff everywhere is so nice, the resort itself is so, so stunning. We were blessed also to have Daniel + Alejandro as our personal butlers and they are just the most kind and wonderful people, cannot say enough about their service!

Disappointing, Inconvenience Everywhere

I was really disappointed in our stay at this resort. When I checked in, the Manager tried to charge me double for the already exorbitant resort fee. After I pulled out receipts, they finally gave up, but not a great start. Then, there was not nearly enough chairs around the pools. If you didn't get up at 7AM to put something on a chair, you were left just wandering around the resort looking for a place to sit. Forget about trying to sit by the beach, I think those people got up at 6AM to reserve chairs. Then, we went to get reservations at the restaurants and were told we would not be able to eat until 9:30PM each night as everything was already booked. That's crazy! Then, if you don't get the "all inclusive" food, you are going to pay $4.00 for a can of soda, $10.00 for a latte, and everything else is really expensive. There is a not a ton to do on the resort - you can ride bikes around, but it's not really set up for easy access to activities. Finally, I felt like everyone wanted a tip for every small service. I would not go back to Fairmont - it was not a fun experience, so many better places for less cost.

Having to defend charges after arrival is unacceptable and understandably set a negative tone for your stay. Your comments regarding pool and beach seating availability, late restaurant reservations and the need to reserve chairs early in the morning are especially concerning. We recognize how these directly impact comfort and enjoyment, particularly when guests are seeking relaxation at Holy days. We also understand your frustration regarding pricing outside the all-inclusive plan. Feeling surprised by costs or inconvenienced while on vacation is something we take very seriously. Additionally, your comments about tipping expectations are noted, as guest comfort and clarity should always be a priority. Please know that your feedback has been formally escalated to our General Senior Manager and shared with our operational and leadership teams for immediate review. The concerns you raised highlight critical areas that require focused attention, especially during peak periods. We are truly sorry that your stay did not meet expectations and that it left you feeling disappointed. While we regret that this experience did not reflect the value and enjoyment you were hoping for, we sincerely appreciate your honesty.
