Overpriced, average hotel

Not sure why this hotel is ranked 5 stars. It was 3 stars at best. The bed was quite nice although the room was average. I stayed for 3 nights and there was no service at all for any of the nights (no change of bedsheets, no change of towels, etc.). This may be some environmental policy where you need to "opt-in", but typically at 5 star hotels like these you would at least have the courtesy of being informed of this at check-in, or being called by the front desk after the first night to double check. Upon checking in for my king room reservation, I was instead downgraded to a double bed instead because they "ran out" of rooms. Only after being persistent, somehow a king room opened up in their system. On my second night, all 3 elevators broke down and there was a mob of guests with no way to get to their rooms. Also be aware that after 1 AM, they lock the doors to the hotel (with no way for guests to otherwise enter, e.g. with their keycard) and the single staff working the reception was away from the lobby when I wished to enter. Overall, I found it very hard to justify the $1,300 price I paid for 3 nights. Having traveled all around the world, particularly outside the U.S., you'll find the quality of service and the rooms themselves to be significantly better for a hotel branding itself as 5 stars. Maybe because it's Pittsburgh, maybe because it's the United States, but at least the price should be reflected accordingly. Throughout my stay, there was no attentiveness or effort towards service... at this point, one could just stay at an Airbnb for significantly cheaper.

Nicely located next to the Market Square. The hotel is much like a full-service Marriott not super high end, but it’s nice. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The TV’s Chrome Cast (once you figured it out) was a nice feature. Hotel itself was quiet.

I stayed at the Fairmont for 5 days. This hotel was wonderful. Connor, Alex, and the rest of the front desk staff always greeted us with a smile and were beyond helpful. They met all of our requests with ease and a cheerful attitude. We got reservations at restaurants with no issues. They provided us with amenities we asked for. Sometimes I felt like I was being a bit needy and apologized, but they were quick to assure me it was no problem at all. Ananta, the manager, was a delight to chat with. He really went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed or wanted. The staff made my visit very enjoyable. Everyone we met was passionate about their job and truly loved what they do. The hotel itself is modern with great amenities which I took full advantage of. The rooms are spacious and well designed. The bed was very comfortable. Amazing views of the city! There was a full-sized desk which made working from my room very easy. WiFi worked well. No complaints. Flr. 2 restaurant serves fantastic food. They have a new chef and a revitalized menu that is to die for. The gym was large and had every piece of equipment you would need for a full body workout. The spa was very relaxing. The locker rooms have both a dry sauna and a steam room. They provided robes, towels, and sandals for a proper experience. I didn't get to use their services such as facials, massages, or other services however based on the staff's friendliness and exuberance I'm sure it would have been wonderful. Next time! I'm traveling back to Pittsburgh again next month and have already booked at the Fairmont again. This is now my go-to hotel whenever I am in town.

Me hospedei no Fairmont no fim de semana e eu não tinha certeza quando eu reservei porque os comentários nao eram muito bons. gosto de ficar em hotéis 4 e 5 estrelas em diferentes cidades e este hotel é o melhor! Os quartos são limpos e modernos. eles têm cortinas blackout e camas confortáveis ​​que eu poderia ter ficado la todo o dia. A equipe foi gentil, respeitosa e muito atenciosa.

Hotel bem localizado, agradável, quarto não é tão grande, razoável. O Hotel é muito caro para o que oferece. Estacionamento diário de US$ 32,00, Wi-fi US$ 15,00, não incluidos na diária já bem salgada. Não nos ofereceram o café da manhã no hotel, não sabíamos quanto custava e então tivemos que sair de manhã para caçar um local.Quando chegamos não nos ofereceram assistência e dicas de restaurantes, tivemos que buscar estas informações. Acabamos comendo na Sex Penn, mas os locais mais interessantes ficavam do outro lado do Hotel, na Square Market O senhor que atende na porta é uma graça, muito educado e prestativo Adorei ver no cardápio do room service uma página com menu para cães e gatos e gostei de ver um belo cão branco solto no saguão do hotel Se voltaria lá: não
