Amazing place for staying the service was good and also the swimming pools and the meal in restaurants and the staff especially Mr Elias and his staff

I recently stayed at Avista Hideaway and, for the most part, it was a really great stay. The hotel itself is lovely, the setting is beautiful, and the overall experience on-site was what you’d expect from a resort of this standard. Unfortunately, the experience has been significantly spoiled by the handling of the security deposit. On arrival, I was double charged — a security deposit was both pre-authorised and fully charged to my card. While I was initially assured this would be resolved, it’s now almost four weeks later and the pre-authorised amount is still being held. Despite multiple emails and follow-ups with the hotel team, I’ve had no resolution and no clear explanation as to why the funds haven’t been released. The responses have been slow and unhelpful, which is frustrating given this should be a straightforward issue. It’s disappointing that what was otherwise a very good stay has been let down by poor post-stay service and basic payment handling. Note to other travellers: if you stay here, I’d strongly recommend paying the security deposit in cash to avoid this issue.
