Unfortunately there are a lot of renovations being made to the hotel, including the elevators, for a group of eight senior travellers this has made life quite difficult! One lady in our group is waiting for a knee replacement and another man has an injury to his knee which requires a knee brace, another lady is in her eighties and we are having to climb between two and four flights of stairs. The hotel have endeavoured to help us by moving us to different floors, but there is still a lot of stairs to climb. The staff have gone a long way towards making our stay memorable, working hard each day they still manage to have fun with us, remembering our likes and dislikes, trying to save tables together so we can sit with our friends, during the daytime, Apple, Din and Jane and in the evening Gun, May, and on the pool swim up bar, Li has looked after us very well, the men that organise drivers for our trips are very friendly as well, the whole staff are exceptional in the way they treat the guests, nothing is too much trouble

Perfect for families with children

We visited the hotel for 3 nights with family. It’s situated on a hill 5 mins walk from Kata beach and 5 mins from the kata street market. The hotel is perfect for family with children. Lots of fun options for children; large pools to spend a day. We got the superior pool view room, which was large enough for a family of 3 and well appointed. They arranged a nice bed and even a tent house in the room for our 10 year old daughter. A nice gesture which she enjoyed thoroughly. Food was good and cheap for a 5 star hotel. Bar was also nice and made mean cocktails. Couple of improvement suggestions: 1. the room floor was getting wet due to humid weather. They should think about putting wooden flooring to avoid. 2. The rooms, especially the ones we stayed in, 417, 419 seemed a bit dated, especially the bathroom. The behaviour of the staff was very helpful which made our stay even better.

We had an amazing stay at Novotel Phuket Kata Avista Resort! The atmosphere was so relaxing and beautiful – especially the pool area, which quickly became our favourite spot. The cocktail happy hours were the longest we found, and the bartender was absolutely fantastic! What really stood out was how friendly and helpful the staff were. A special thank you to Luna, who took such great care of our room – her attention to detail and warmth truly made our stay unforgettable. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. A special thank you for the sweet gesture of leaving a birthday cake for our daughter – it truly made her day extra special. Highly recommend this place for a fun and relaxing family holiday. We’ll definitely be back!
