We had a wonderful time here. All staff are so accommodating to your every need. Food was fantastic, service fantastic. Great location and easy walking distance to market, beach etc. A special thanks to James who made our trip so perfect!

This hotel is a pleasant place for a family vacation. There are many activities for kids, and we received a warm welcome from ‘Yok’ at the front desk. My children really loved this place.

We had a great time; the hotel was beautiful and clean, with plenty of amenities. We also had a wonderful lunch; both the Thai and international cuisine were delicious. The staff was impeccable. Susan, in particular, was always kind, courteous, and available for any request.

Abysmal experience in Christmas trip with Family

Update (an unfortunately appalling one that should never have happened in the first place): Shortly after posting the above review, the guest relations manager at Novotel approached me for a private conversation, offered a complimentary ride to the airport to make up for the disappointing stay, and then asked if I could change my rating to 3 stars in return. As she provided no concrete details on how the transfer would actually be arranged, I made it clear that I would only consider editing my review after safely arriving at the airport. My family spent the rest of the day at another Accor hotel (a separate booking planned in advance for more sightseeing, and ultimately the best decision of our entire trip), and during that time the guest relations manager repeatedly assured us that a car would collect us from the other hotel in time for our flight. Unfortunately, Novotel Kata Avista failed to meet even this very basic promise: they simply did not bother to arrange the ride at all, and I ended up having to call a taxi myself to get to the airport. As a result, not only were we rushed and stressed at the end of our Christmas trip, but I am now also spending my year-end taking extra time to document this abysmal experience and to share this review across every travel and hotel rating platform I know. (Original review on 12/27 at Novotel Kata Avista Resort) Honestly, my experience at this resort was not good to say the least. 1) Location : It is vogue. Kata area is really good but this resort is at the hilltop. Very hard to go to Kata beach and night market especially with children. 2) Breakfast and Christmas brunch : It was terrible. The flavor and decorations of the menus were so bad that it made me frown just to look at them. I was especially looking forward for the Holiday brunch but my wife and I simply couldn't eat most of them. We ate only one plate and had to find a local restaurant. Other than the crepes, Breakfast buffet was also disappointing compared to other hotels in Phuket. 3) Service quality: Individual service was not bad, but the communication of each staff was terrible. I returned to the room at 3pm and found the room left uncleaned - housekeeping did not pick up the phone at all and when I called the front desk, the receptionist asked me to give them a reminder call in case the housekeeping does not show up. 4) Facilities : The only nice part about this hotel is the kids play zone - the kids club was very clean and not crowded. Swimming pool has decent playing area for young children. 5) Room : distance to lobby is so far for rooms in the second building. I had to transfer between elevators for accessing lobby and restaurant. room condition also was not good (small bugs, wear and tear) plus very humid and not convenient. The kid beddings and dolls were clean and nice at least. Overall, definitely not worth $800 for 2 days. Accor loyalty member really failed me this time.
