Comfortable and clean with great service

Everything about our stay in an unfamiliar town was very positive at the Mercure. Our family of 4 felt safe, the apartment was clean and comfortable. Very quiet; we all got a great sleep. Beautiful hilly views and the staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful.

A comfortable Easter break

The room was large, the bed was comfortable and the car parking was excellent, shady and secure. The big letdown was insecure internet access which limited some of the financial transactions that I wished to do during my stay. Dining facilities in the league club were good, we ate there a number of times.

Have zero complains, friendly staff on check in. Room was spotless, bed was comfortable. I like they have under cover parking ( shaded ). Pub next door worked a treat as you can walk straight in from hotel. Room was cleaned up before I arrived back the following day. I would not stay anywhere else when I visit Tamworth.

We were there for a wedding and asked could we check in early and were told it would be noted. On the day of the wedding rang and we’re told we could go in at 1.00, so we tried at 12.00 as were in Tamworth after 21/2 hour drive, no come back at 1.09 . We went back to stand in a queue, had my elderly father in law and wanted to get changed, 20 mins later we were given wrong room, in queue again, got to our room with 15 mins to get ready, room ok. The next day found out we were overcharged, the refund happened quickly, just poor management all round expected much better

Our check in time is 2pm however we try to get the rooms cleaned as quickly as possible although we do not rush the staff as we have a high standard of cleaning to make sure every room is cleaned correctly. 29/6-05/7 booked for 3 bedroom suite my impression and translation of a suite and 3 bedroom is clearly different to what we were present. One of the rooms looks to be a living area they had done up to be a room so if you come in with the couple one of the couples who chose to sleep in this converted space will have to have the other couples walk through that room to get to the bathroom and it is the first room as you enter from the door. Space was clean, beds were comfortable but linen only is changed if you request for it otherwise your sheets are with you till you check out! Fridge is a small glass door bar fridge and will only fit a 2ltr drink laying down and you won’t fit anything else after that, towels are changed daily and always have to ask for top up for toilet paper. Again my level and standard of cleaning isn’t the same as theirs, in a 3 bdrm you get one long study desk, 1 study chair and 1 arm chair so musical chair will be a standard practice. Staff I could not fault because they are absolutely lovely and knowledgeable with the area, interior deco of local places is stunning. Pool isn’t heated as it states on their site, amble common area poolside to laze around at even have a picnic. I personally wouldn’t be staying here again simply because of room arrangement and lack of sitting within the room for any meals or simply just to chill.
