While I have lowered my expections for staying at at a 3 star hotel, I can't help to have some expections as this was an Accor property. I have to give this review 4/5 as I believe there are some areas where the hotel could improve to reach a strong 5/5. We arrived at the evening. Tired, we wanted to check-in and head to our rooms quickly. There was only 1 staff to serve the guests. After a good 30 mins, I was served by Rain, who was really friendly, warm and willing to please. My frustrations were gone after my interaction with her. I applaud her for being professional, even with the long line of guests. Do note that as an hotel near the airport, check-in/check-out processes have to be quick, as guests may be rushing for time or rushing to get to bed. The room was ok. Basically it was clean, had a strong hot shower, and an acceptable bed to sleep in. There is a convenience store near the hotel, just 2 mins walk so it was easy for me to buy some water and snacks. I did not visit the gym (it's chargeable) nor did I have breakfast, so I am unable to comment about this. However I was shocked that the hotel wanted to charge for toothbrush (15 dirhams) when I requested for one. I know that in Dubai, hotels don't put out toiletries in the rooms to be "environmentally friendly", but I assumed it was standard that toothbrush could be requested and the hotel would provide it for free. Anyways it was a good hotel for a one night stay.

This property is not a hotel. It is HOME. Mr. Nawaf & Mr. Shehab are simply two individuals (Managers) that will solve any issues you may have. Just ask them. The team at IBIS style Dubai Airport and Grand Mercure Dubai City is simply kind, professional and carrying. I thank all of you, even the housekeeping team, breakfast chef and all the staff at the front desk.

The best maintenance team at ibis style Dubai Airport branch . Two staff members Kasif and Jami arrived to unblock a sink which they did in record time . They were both very professional and polite . I was grateful that they arrived even after 9pm. Thanks guys . B from Ireland .

we waited over 42 minutes to be served by the only 2 staff at front desk when we arrived. the queue to check in was 20 guests long and moving extremely slowly. we got given a room which was clean but the power points did not work nor was the tv working at all and the toilet roll holder was falling off the wall. very poor state of the room considering it is an Accor hotel. the bed was comfortable and clean and we had a good night sleep overall. no navette available from airport though it is still advertised in the Accor site. staff was nice when we eventually got to deal with the man at the desk but the room was not up to being given to guests and need serious attention right now
