Think twice about breakfast

Experience at the Pullman KL was below average at best. Our room was not tidied effectively each day. We stayed twice over our time in KL with a break in Penang. Our inital stay included a room upgrade. During our inital stay, a plate of discarded fruit was left in the room to rot. Our second did not, which is fine, however the variances in the room were significant. The AC was hold and clunky. The room was worn. The shower head started leaking on the final morning. Netflix was no longer able to be accessed. Water provided went from 4 bottles to 2 bottles. I expect variances on rooms based on cost prices and upgrades etc. But truly, i never realised how significant this variance was. The cleaniness of the room conitnued to be an issue. As during our second stay, a plate, knife and fork were left in our bathroom. The buffet breakfast was poor. No choice of seating. When asked if we could sit in a more comfortable place, we were told no, as it was all reserved for corporates and lead to the furthest point of the resturant. Totally fine it was reserved, my pain point is constantly being shoved in a corner each morning. The food was either, over cooked (my hashbrowns became dusted when cut) or cold and stale. Eggs were flavourless, and fruit in some instances tasted rotten. Ths best part of the food was Isla the lovely man delivering pasteries. I trired to leave a specific review on the food service, which i was unable to, with an error coming up each time I tried to submit and my answers changed to "excellent", which was incorrect. Lastly, when checking out, they attempted to charge me for the cost of the room, again! After explaining three times, we had already paid for the room, i was told no, they i only pre authorised the payment. I had to explain that was incorrect as the money had been removed from the card. What i was owed was my 400 RYM despoit to be charged back to my card as the room was paid for. Not to be recharged for the cost of the room at 2100 RYM. I had to walk away from the service desk before saying something increibly rude and inapporiate to service staff (unlike me!). As being presented with a rude and disrespectful attitude of the staff memeber, I knew I was at risk of matching the tempement. It is important to note, i work as a manager in customer service, i deal with service and complaints daily. I have no issues being told I am wrong and will always apologise for a misunderstanding. However, being told muliple times I had not paid for a room I had slept in for 3 nights, was incredibly frustrating. There was no admission that they were incorrect on rectifying this error or apology for trying to recharge me for a room. The logic of them thinking we had spent 3 free nights at the hotel boggles the mind. Frankly, it should have been a discounted price for the service received vs "free", which is what was being implied. The whole experience has left an incredibly sour taste in my mouth about Pullman and unfortuantly KL as a whole. When considering a stay in KL, I would suggest an alternative hotel. At the very least, dont include breakfast in your room charge, as you will be grossly disappointed. Instead if chosing to stay at the Pullman my recommendation qould be to opt for a room charge only and eat elsewhere. An incredibly disappointing stay. Feedback has/will also been provided directly to the hotel.

I am a Diamond member and for the 1st time since I am Diamond and before Platinum, I didn't have specific attention like plate of fruits, cake or chocolate (room 2423). The breakfast baguette wasn't fresh. They bringed a new one still frozen inside! Asking for the cleaning of the room is useless. 5 hours later I had to call the Housekeeping Department. 5:30pm, I had to call to receive the laundry gave the day before which was supposed to be delivered at noon ! Sedap Restaurant (international), 3 choice of red one and it took them 10 minutes to discover that in an Accor group hotel the French one wasn't available. A dinner without wine is sad. With such a poor choice, I understand why we are the only clients. It miss an involved General Manager.

We are also truly sorry for the issues you experienced with the breakfast baguette, the limited red wine selection at Sedap Restaurant, and the unavailability of the French wine, which should not happen in an Accor property. Additionally, the delays in room cleaning and the late delivery of your laundry are far from the service standards we aim to provide. We understand how frustrating this must have been, and we apologise for the inconvenience caused by these inconsistencies.
