Convenient and Peaceful

Very convenient and peaceful stay. Fast check-in. Then a very clean small room with a small bathroom with all the amenities. Breakfast had a good spread. Walking distance to Petronas Twin Towers and Convention Centre. Service at the bar at 31st floor was good. I stayed for five nights and the overall stay was perfect for my business trip.

Lost its appeal

We are Accor members, stayed here before a couple of years ago and liked it then, but this time it was a disappointment. We stayed here for 4 nights. We had booked a double room. The first room they gave us was under maintenance, so back to reception, the second room was a joining room. When we opened the joining door (we didn't realise what the door was) we saw a bed with 2 people in it. So we went back ro reception to refuse this room. The double rooms were overbooked, so we could either have that joining room or settle for a twin room. The (twin) room was ok, but the slamming of doors and people loudly talking in the hallway throughout the night kept us awake. Downstairs in the lobby it was always chaos. So many people from tour groups all the time. The little coffee shop in the lobby is quieter, looks nice but is vastly overpriced. Yes it's fairly close to klcc, but next time we will choose another (Accor) hotel.

Lovely city views and great breakfast, though rooms are compact

I enjoyed my stay at ibis Kuala Lumpur. The window view was fantastic — especially at night when the city lights up. The breakfast buffet was impressive, with a good mix of local favorites and international dishes, all fresh and tasty. The rooms are a bit small but well-designed and comfortable enough for a short stay. Overall, a good value choice in the heart of the city.

Good location

The location and room are nice and convenient, I love it. However, there are some areas that need improvement The booking process was quite slow, it took almost 7 days to confirm a single reservation, and I had to follow up in order to get a confirmation. For my second booking, which I made directly through the hotel’s website, I tried to contact the property using the email address listed on the booking confirmation, but the message could not be delivered as the email address was not found. Please update the contact information for easier communication. The first impression upon arrival was fine, as I understand that Ibis operates more on a self-service concept. Unfortunately, the room was not soundproof, and noises from other rooms; chairs being dragged and doors closing loudly, were quite disturbing. Luckily, I had earplugs with me. The most disappointing part was finding an old white lady’s underwear at the corner of the room behind the curtain when I tried to open it to enjoy the city view. This raised concerns about the housekeeping SOP. I immediately informed the front desk and requested cleaning after 10:30 a.m. because I still getting ready to go out, but even after reminding them twice, the item remained there when I returned around 2 p.m. I had to call again for it to be removed. While I understand the housekeeping team has many rooms to manage and works hard, I hope the management takes this feedback seriously to ensure proper room checks and improve service efficiency in the future.

Fantastic hotel near Petronas Twin Tower at Kualalampur

The hotel is conveniently located at the heart of the city. A mere 5 to 7 minutes walking distance( around 500m) from the Petronas Twin Tower and Suria KLCC mall. A big and busy hotel. The hotel has all the basic amenities that are needed for a comfortable stay. The rooms are nice and clean. Adequately spacious, too. We got a corner room on the 23rd floor, which gave us a peek of Twin Tower from the room itself. Bathrooms are also clean and comfortable. No bathtub, though. The swimming pool is on the top floor. Though the size is quite small but being an infinity pool gives a good all-around view of the city. The breakfast spread is really great with multiple options and adequate variety. Except for the front desk staff, all other hotel staff, including the waiters at the dining area, are very cordial, helpful, and courteous. As mentioned at the beginning, the neighborhood is quite posh, accessibility is nice, and you can get all the amenities you need, including good restaurants nearby. Really enjoyed our stay in the hotel for two days.
