I got kicked out... again!

I WANTED to stay at this hotel. It has the nicest rooms in its class - and better rooms than some hotels a class above it. The rooms are well designed with excellent desk space, plenty of electrical outlets, and bedside table space. The rooms are clean. The showers are brilliant. And every room I've been in at this hotel has had incredible views of the Petronas Twin Towers. The pool is small but relaxing, at least when it isn't full of people swimming in their underwear (it could do with more supervision if only to make sure there are plenty of pool towels). BUT... on my first stay, after I got trapped in Malaysia unable to return home to Thailand, in April, we were given less than 24 hours notice that the hotel was becoming a government quarantine center and that we would be moved to a less-nice hotel for the remainder of the stay we paid for. Ok - extraordinary times and all that - I get it, I accept it. When I finally had the opportunity to return in July, both 7-day and 30-day long stay packages were being offered, so I expected there should be no problem with my stay. After a few days there, I was given less than 12 hours notice that I had to leave the hotel due to it becoming a quarantine center again. They offered to put me on a "green zone" floor but the pool and gym were to be closed. I had taken a 7-day package and was on the cusp of getting a 30-day package, both requiring prepayment. What if I had done the latter? I'd have been screwed. I've been living in hotels for over 4 months now. I have to budget very carefully. Why are they offering these long stay packages if they knew this was possible? They had to have known. Now I am at the nearby Novotel which is crappy. I just can't give a good review while they are bringing in guests, and worse, selling pre-paid long-stay packages, despite the possibility of this happening.

We are very sorry for having to make you relocate twice. Both times when we had to be converted to a Quarantine Centre was due to a request from our governmental bodies who needed us to accommodate quarantine guests due to our hotel having a larger inventory. When we had the long-stay packages running, the government has stated that people returning to Malaysia were to quarantine themselves in their own homes. However, upon seeing the number of infections rise, our government has decided to instill the quarantine centres once again and that's when we were called upon. We truly apologize for this and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again once the situation improves itself. we thank you for your patience with us and we look forward to having you here in the future! PS: You'd definitely be refunded fully if you chose to book the long-stay package with us as our guests are not at fault :)

Disappointment in the service

I am very sad. This hotel completely disappointed me. In my bathroom there were stains and hair on the walls. There were numerous spots on the walls of the room. Dust was on the table and the head of the bed. The panoramic window that was supposed to be the highlight of my evening was in dirty spots. The staff in the lobby responded positively to my comments on housekeeping. But what was my disappointment when, after returning to my room, I found the same stains and dust. This is the dirtiest ibis I have stayed in. I am extremely disappointed.

We were a family trip and this was our last hotel. Near Petronas, great views (deluxe room). Only thing was that I am a privilege member and in the reception they ignore that when I was checking in. Highly recommend hotel.

It was a great experience to have a 1 night stay at Ibis Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel. There is no hazzle in checking in & out. The staff was friendly and fast. The room was neat and clean and the toiletry items were all provided so you do not need to call for extra. There is a free shuttle services to 4 popular mall in Kuala Lumpur. And that give you a better shopping needs and save your time. I would like to come back for another stay in the near future. Great Hotel at reasonable price within Kuala Lumpur. The breakfast was simple and nice. The dinner hall is big

Great location, easy to find the transportation, I've enjoyed my running time in the KLCC park, it's peaceful. Hotel with the large bedroom comfy bed, the room is clean, good breakfast with many variety of food. Love to stay here next time.

Nice cozy rooms. Highly clean. Good air conditioning. WIFI with good speed. Convenient location, about 800 meters from Petronas Twin Tower (actually from some rooms you can view it) and KLCC MRT station. Hotel offers scheduled free of charge drop facility to Petronas Tower, Pavilion mall and few other places. You can easily get CAB at doorstep. Very good variety and quality of breakfast items, though no Indian item other than mini samosa. Very large dining area so there is crowding during breakfast time.

There is a sticky patch on the floor that i need to use the wet tissues to wipe it. Under the bed, there is plastic bag leave by the previous guest. Need to flash at least twice when using the toilet bowl.

I have short stay but continue stay due to external issue but front desk receiption well known on situation and concern. They welcome us early check in and reward us late check out. Thank to senior lady on front desk that help us so much.

I have a good one night stay.. the location is good, the facilities are good also.. Ibis Hotel with swimming pool.. But.. as a gold member, i dont receive my welcome amenities and the breakfast i think its not that good.. need to improve on it... Overall experience without breakfast is so great!!

Good hotel modern & clean facilities other than one particular person (Yalda) who provided exemplary service the rest were below par for Ibis. I was planning to book ahead but after my experience at KL I'm thinking again. This is the first hotel I've stayed at over a number of years that I've not been able to charge my meal from the main restaurant to my room-cash only. Where you you have local currency when you' just arrived in the evening from OS?

Ibis is the lower tier of Accor chain and I guess I should have lowered my expectations when staying here. But the lcoation was great and near KLCC so I booked here for the weekend. The room upgrade for Platinum was a disappointment. I thought I wasn't upgraded although they actually did. I am quite used to being pampered with large and nice rooms... The infinity swimming pool is on the rooftop and was nice and instagrammable though not very swimmable. There were two person there with their mobiles and taking selfies. The breakfast was again no more or no less than what is price range suggested. On the second day, I went out to have a nice char kuey tiao. All said, I would say it would appeal to budget conscious travellers. The hotel service was friendly however my Accor service rep disappear during the weekend (off duty). She left a note in my hotel room to look for her if I needed anything...I feel the hotel could do with a bit more polishing round the edges, and it would have been so much better as it does have certain appeal and charm.

the hotel staff are friendly and helpful services and facilities are great the room has a beautiful view the location is as the name city center in which far approximately 20 minutes walking from Twin Towers, KL garden, KL aquarium and other nice places. the best I liked the staff smiling faces.

I think they are not focus or giving the best service to accor members . Member check in counter was left no staff . Room are clean and restaurant food are good .then the restaurant staff waitress services are bad . No communication with receiption and still charging to guest while the guest are entitled for complimentary breakfast . 1) no welcome pack (envelope) for member 2) check in are terribly slow . 3) no pre-preparation for room to accor elite member 4) lousy management and non follow accor standard .

This is our 5th times staying here, thanks to Ms Yalda for your great service, neat and comfort bedroom, friendly and helpful staffs, great breakfast but limited selection of foods, smooth and fast service during check in and out, one of the best ibis hotel, will stay again soon

would not recommend , my cake was dry and cut into small pieces, maybe kitchen was busy to tell me they dont have cake that was specified in my voucher. Counter was all red carpeted , but no one attending ( only the accor counter)

The hotel is a pretty good standard hotel for an ibis hotel. Everything was clean during my stay. However, AccorPlus members should be aware of unusual standards of this hotel. I was not being attended to for checking in, even after 30 minutes standing at the Accor priority lane. When I prompted to ask the staff, the staff asked me to line up on the normal lines and wait. The checking in process was a bit lengthy, unlike other Accor hotels. In addition, there was also unusual promotional price for the breakfast buffet for Accorplus members in this hotel.

Great central location within walking distance of Petronas Towers and KLCC. Room was fine with comfortable bed; not a lot of space for clothing but otherwise OK. Staff were universally friendly and helpful; we enjoyed the infinity pool; the food in the restaurant was OK though not brilliant.

Every thing was excellent from check in to check out. The room was very clean and quite spacious. The infinite pool was lovely especially at night when the 2 towers are light up. The buffets break fast was ok, mostly Chinese food. I would return and have recommended it to my friends already. Over all it was great place to stay. It is very close to everything.

The hotel is new, everything is clean. Staff is very friendly. Though the swimming pool was closed due to construction work, we were given the free breakfast as compensation. since our flight was in the evening, we asked to extend our stay for a half day and were offered it free of charge. Location of the hotel is perfect, 10 mins walk to the famous twin towers.

Reception staff and the duty managers and the same time general manager are zero qualified about LeClub membership program. Front desk staff are cold and looks like robots, no any welcome on arrival or simple smile, all questions about LeClub membership must be agreed with the duty or general manager who also not sure about it. LeClub counter without any staff all time. Benefits for a platinum member was provided after I applied case to the accor support. I got an answer from hotel after FIVE days of waiting and resending case letter every day. The room was upgraded, but when I asked reception to extend my stay, front desk manager counted for me the rate for upgraded room. On my question why the rate so different she didn't/ find an answer and didn't get that I stayed in upgraded room. As a LeClub member you can pay at check out but the management don't agree with that, I asked madam Yalda about the SOP which they guided about this questions she didn't provide anything as on the question why hotel rules are different from accor membership program. The same time they asking about deposit, but deposit for which service exactly?? the minibar is empty, no any extra stuff or expensive furniture inside. Maybe deposit for pillow and shower gel or paper pen?? Located in the construction area from all sides. From low levels you can see only crane in the window. Shop and cafe on the ground floor are open only on business hours, in case you late you can not buy any drinks or snacks in the hotel. Shops also not in a walking distance, which is open until late - don't accept credit cards. Shuttle bus available only on business days, the schedule is not convenient, the last bus on 4-45pm. Bus driver is an inadequate person with outrange behaviour. Is his driver license still valid? He laughing at the guests and discuss it with another passengers. Patting passengers on the shoulder is completely not acceptable. Still not understand what happened with the staff in this "hotel". They will not give you to sleep even you turn on "not disturb" light on the door. Cleaning staff wake up me every day, some days it was duty manager who so lazy that can not checked her laptop before and find that I made new booking online in the accor application to extend my stay already. She also can not recognised "not disturb" light on the door. Maybe disturb you when you asked not disturb is the special 4 star service here
