Overall a pleasant stay once we were past the check in. Courtesy to say good afternoon and welcome to our hotel first before requesting identification! - I thought I was at the wrong building and had accidentally checked in up the road at correctional services ! Once in, the service and restaurant staff did a splendid job of making our stay special- all meals in the restaurant were wonderful. Back to check out and frosty staff behind the desk again. First and last impressions count with customer service! Saturday night we relived our youth listening to a near by night club until early hours of the morning - Sunday night peaceful again. Is this Sofitel quite as good as its brands reputation - we would say does fall short.

A beautiful hotel with 5 star service and amenities. Make sure you treat yourself to one of the luxury rooms as it oozes luxury. Lovely pool and sauna to relax in. The restaurant is a must visit and one of the best in Adelaide with a great buffet breakfast

The overall experience was good, essentially due to the services of Mr Razoul who is a very helpful and very professional guest relation at front desk. He was really helping to find our tours and to accommodate our requests. He made our journey really great. The room is really nice too. However our experience at the club millesime was somehow less impressive. We were being offered food which never came, the ladies there were somehow professional but one of them, a blond lady, was seriously lacking of smile and another one with curly hair was running nervously with huge stress. There were another lady looking maybe Indian, who was really professional and efficient without running all over the places. She provided a good service, she is the one who finally served our drinks and food. The breakfast was so so. Our tea was forgotten 3 times despite staff coming 2 times to ask and being answered about our request, we were waiting for some tea which was obviously forgotten. Luckily people at front desk were more than professional.

This is an important tip, do not ever stay here on a Friday or Saturday night! Wow the music coming from the nightclub downstairs all night is absurd lol I’m older now and my clubbing days are over, looks a lot of fun down there from level 18 but it’s impossible to sleep in the Sofitel. No real fix for the hotel either which is a shame as it’s a decent hotel.

Wir wohnten eine Woche lang im 22. Stock mit einer großartigen Aussicht in die Adelaide Hills. Auch in anderen Aspekten ist die Lage am Rande der Innenstadt großartig, denn Einkaufsstraßen, Parks (incl. eines sehr schönen Zoos), gute Restaurants (vom sicher auch sehr guten im Hause, das wir leider aus Zeitgründen nicht probieren konnten abgesehen) und Veranstaltungsorte sind bequem fußläufig zu erreichen - in unserem Falle sogar nur etwa 3 km bis zu einer ehemaligen Formel-1-Rennstrecke, die immer noch dann und wann tolle Veranstaltungen bietet, so während unseres Aufenthaltes das Finale der australischen Top-Motorsportklasse. Unser Zimmer war von sehr generöser Größe und bot auch viel Stauraum für unser (auf drei Wochen gerechnetes, samt Opernbesuchen!) Gepäck. Außerdem viele USB-Ladeanschlüsse im Zimmer verteilt - kein elektronisches Gerät bleibt unaufgeladen ;-) Sehr reichhaltiges Frühstücksangebot, nicht ganz billig, aber preiswert. Das Personal ist sehr hilfreich und freundlich. Bei Anreise mit dem Auto: streßfrei-bequemes und ggf. regengeschütztes Ausladen in einer Durchfahrt hinter der Hotellobby. Garagenplätze gibt es in ca. 100 m Entfernung in einer an sich recht geräumigen Hochgarage zum Hotelgast-Sondertarif. Einfahrt dort nicht ganz locker möglich, da sehr enge Kurve zum Einfahrtsschranken - im Zweifelsfall besser ein kleineres Auto mieten...
