My son Stayed at this hotel booked and paid on booking.com then had to pay again when he arrived.This has been on going since August.We have email prove a mistake has been made and again emails go unanswered.Please resolve this matter please.

So I booked this on booking.com and paid in advance so when we arrived it should of been quick and easy but that wasn’t the case they asked us to pay again even though I showed them proof I had already paid before arriving, they wouldn’t have that so I paid again as we had no we’re else to sleep and since then I have been fighting to get my money back even though I spoke with the manager and they have agreed that is was a mistake and they would refund me. It’s nearly Christmas now and still no refund and now I am just been ignored so it has put me off booking an ibis hotel again

The payment requested upon arrival was based on instructions received from Booking.com; we simply followed the standard procedure. Have you checked whether Booking.com may have charged the amount twice? Additionally, platforms such as TripAdvisor are intended to share a hotel experience. To the best of my knowledge, your stay went very well, and the issue concerns billing rather than the quality of your stay. Receiving such a low rating for a matter for which we are not responsible is frustrating for passionate hoteliers like us, who continuously strive to make our guests as happy as possible. Booked this hotel through Hotels.com as it was cheaper than booking direct. We arrived and the man at reception, who I presume was the manager, and if not should be, did his up most to welcome myself and my family, he even guided us to a second lift as the main one was being serviced. Being a family of four we were given two interconnected rooms that were comfortable and just what we needed. We could make drinks from the hot water provided in the lobby. Every time we passed reception we had a friendly hello. A school group was staying and at 10.30pm were making lots of noise. I went and spoke to the gentleman at reception and he came back upstairs immediately with me and dealt with the problem. In the morning he checked on us and offered my children a complementary breakfast and myself and wife hot drinks because of the noise the previous night. He asked what we were doing today and when I explained we were going to Walibi theme park, he said leave the car here as it's free and walk the 15 minutes to the park. We did this and it was so stress free and saved us 13euros. All the breakfast staff were cheerful and chatted to my children and couldn't have been nicer, the whole place had a 'family run' feeling about it and we felt well looked after. When we return to the area, we will only stay here in the future

Overpriced breakfast

Clean, good for a stopover. Breakfast was poor value - definitely not worth 15€ per person. No one checked anyway who had paid so as a family you could just pay for the adults and let the kids eat some of yours. Or avoid altogether and grab something from the huge supermarket 2 mins down the road.
