So basic, so expensive

It's incredible as in Leuven the hotels are so expensive and of low quality. This ibis is in principle a 3 stars, but everything is really essential, from size of room to its clean, to breakfast. In my country this would have be a 1/2 stars max. Positive aspect, it's not far from city center.

Central location (proximal to lots of restaurants), friendly staff and relatively quiet. Good for a short stay but the rooms are small and dated in places (signs of black mould above the shower). Breakfast options are okay but limited, especially for vegetarians.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast quite busy and a bit chaotic but reasonable choice, good value. We had booked 51 weeks ahead, maybe at a better price than other people but we had a room which we can only describe as very small and pokey. We should have complained. We had to take turns at moving at all. Suggest if you are offered 5 th floor up, take a look before accepting.

Lovely hotel right in the middle of Leuven. Walkable to everywhere. Lots of nice cafes and restaurants nearby. We arrived from an early flight and we're greeted by a friendly receptionist who allowed as an early check-in which was much appreciated. The rooms are nice, not massive but clean with comfy beds a TV and good hot showers. Breakfast was excellent, really good quality and variety. Staff were all very friendly. 100% recommend.

Good value for money.

This hotel has an excellent price/value ratio for a city centre hotel. The rooms (305 and 306) are perfectly adequate for a short stay. The staff were friendly. One negative: when we came back from dinner there was a sewer smell in the bathroom of 306. We ran some water through the sink and the smell is dissipated after a while. One thing to note: the entrance to the car park is VERY narrow. My car is 1m75 wide with mirrors folded and this is the absolute maximum that I would attempt to park.
