Great hotel, just a few small things to look out for.

Pros: Large spacious rooms and great views at an affordable price. The views are magnificent and you are able to see the beach, sea and mountains. Central location with malls and food nearby. Beds are comfortable, especially the firm pillows. Large pool and gym. Big breakfast spread. Breakfast is also better at the executive lounge where they serve kolomee, rendang and kuching laksa. The cakes are better too. At the exec lounge, they also serve free food, wine and beer from 5-7. You can’t find any information on the lounge online, or from their staff (online or in person), so I paid the cash to tell you. Cons: More needs to be done about the flies at breakfast - some were on the fresh fruits. At breakfast, asked for help for a table of 12 but staff was at a loss since it was CNY and horribly packed. They told us where to go and we shifted the tables ourselves. Gym: of the 4 treadmills, 2 were spoilt and it’s terribly dark, especially at the weights area which makes it dangerous. There’s no air conditioning with only fans. Pool: pool had quite a lot of dead leaves - should clear more often.

I was in the room all day having online meeting and all but there are very noisy sounds due to renovation. You will hear they doing drilling the wall / floor all day and my ears are almost bleeding due to the noise. Avoid Pullman Miri if you need to have peaceful day at least until they finished renovation (i heard from the housekeeper it will be last until end of the year). I wanted to change the room but they said all floor will be having the same noise.

My favourite stay in Miri Pullman … warm welcome by mr Kenny & Ken. At the concierge. smooth checking by friendliest staffs ms Mary & ms Elizebeth , and also ms Lilian who always make sure my room is 100% ok and ready for me to check In . Famous evening cocktails serve by Sharon and mr Joveannie was amazing . And their cocktail are superb . As usual , will be back again ….

Splendid Short Stay

Even though it was a short stay at Miri city, Pullman Miri Waterfront was a good choice for accommodation. As the driver that pick me up from the airport to the hotel, he mentioned that this hotel is one of the few most premium hotels in Miri. That kinda gives me the sense of privilege upon arrival. From the arrival to departure at the hotel. the process was very smooth and the staffs were quite accommodating to ensure the stay here was good. Nearby food options seems to be good also. Would consider staying here again for my next visit back to Miri.

Good Location but Poor Service

Stayed for two nights but no room make up on the second day despite the "cleaning" light on. I don't mind not making the room but no replenish of drinking water. No hot water from the shower and I reported to the front desk at the next morning. I even given permission for the maintenance staff to go into my room to fix the problem. But to my dismay, there is still no hot water and I was forced to shower with cold water in the raining night, and next day cold morning. Very dusty decorative light in the washroom. Breakfast is just "SO-SO" and you can get much better food just across the street. So please don't bother to book the room with breakfast. If not because of the fantastic river view from the room, I will not even bother to come back to Pullman Miri anymore.
