Great hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Room overlooking Darling harbour was wonderful, clean and serviced daily. Hotel situated centrally with easy access to transport and restaurants. Will definitely go back

I have stayed in this hotel countless times and the reason I keep coming back is because of its customer service from the time you arrive until you check out- you will be looked after. The hotel was faultless- and guess what I will keep coming back!

Our stay at Sofitel Darling Harbour was so relaxed and easy, from check in with Layla on Club floor, to coffee, afternoon tea, canapés and drinks with Elmo who was so attentive, friendly, and an absolute pleasure to have met. He was a classic example of perfect hospitality and made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you to all the staff at Sofitel we had a great time.

Celebrating 25yrs as a couple, booked a return overnight stay in Junior suite. Made to feel very welcome and at home as soon as we walked through the front doors. Concierge guiding us to lifts for access to club lounge floor to check in. Hostess took care of our paperwork whilst sipping Verve Champagne. Blown away by our JS on level 30, 💯 outstanding and the views breathtaking. Gracie and Mei looked after us during Afternoon Tea and Evening Canapé service. Delicious food and free flowing beverages. Headed to Atlier for dinner, Heesu our waiter ensured we were well looked after and kept up to date in regards to a hiccup in the kitchen, our meal was served late but due to Hessu great commitment to his customers kept the lines of communication open, so we expected the long delay, we'll done! The food was outstanding by the way. Slept well, woke up to a lazy breakfast, so much choice. Late checkout. We will return!

We were in the midst of moving house ourselves and booked in for a three night stay. The door and reception staff were generous with their time assisting with our queries and extremely helpful. Our room was beautifully made up, love the Balmain products, wonderfull view and spacious. We enjoyed room service two nights and the dinners were delicious, arrived promptly and generous serves. Easy stroll into the city and whilst in the midst of Darling Harbour tucked around the corner to avoid the bustle. It was a perfect escape in our own city. Thank you

Beautiful hotel, perfectly located and with staff service levels at highest expectations. Only drawback is a "just OK" Bistro/Restaurant - service was fine but, layout, decor, noise levels and split kitchen mixed together for an average experience. Late night noises from nearby venues caused disruptions.

Great location, top end of price range for most people. Very nice hotel. To explore darling harbour great place to stay, lovely bar and restaurant, staff all friendly and accomodating. Would recommend for a luxury stay.

service, rooms, food and views were great. We have stayed a few times now and it just gets better. On arrival we were taken to the service desk and welcomed. The well appointed rooms also included complimentary water and a bottle of wine nice touch after a busy day

I booked a stay at the Sofitel as a special treat for my wife and I to celebrate our wedding anniversary and end of lockdown. I booked quite an expensive category as I really wanted her to enjoy the stay after being cooped up in our apartment for months. Our check in experience was great as we were escorted up to the club lounge for check in, with the staff friendly and welcoming. Checking into the room however whilst spotless the romantic amenity I had paid extra for was not in the room, so missed out on that planned surprise… tried to salvage it by discretely slipping away at canapés and reminding the staff at the club lounge, and was told on the way out it was now all there in the room however for flowers were an extra charge… all good , but more discrete confirmation would be appreciated. After settling in for our second night we enjoyed breakfast then spent the rest of the day out, attending a friends event. After returning to our room at nearly midnight our room had not been turned down, in spite of the make up room sign being active the majority of the day…. None the less a call to the front desk yielded some fresh towels as the room could not be made up that so at least we could have a shower. Pool was open but pool bar was closed, tried to get a water or can of coke from the restaurant however they were unable to provide this? Was advised to go back down to the pool and dial room service… didn’t bother and just went to the news agent downstairs. On check out was asked how the stay was, and feed back the no turn down, was advised this was due to reduced housekeeping?? Needless to say was quite underwhelmed with some of these experiences but it wasn’t all bad… at the champagne bar we were doted on by the staff who at a hint of delay at an order stepped in a without asking got my wife another drink… The staff at the club lounge were all very welcoming and during breakfast and canapés made us feel so welcome. So in summary a mixed experience, despite paying close to 1.8k for a two night stay, I honestly don’t think it was worth it, I hate to give such a review .. I don’t think I ever have..especially after Sydney hospitality is just getting back on its legs… maybe teething issues as the premises is just getting back ….would I stay again? Yes , with tempered expectations and at a lower category of spend as not confident of any extras , touch of magic coming through etc.

After 4 months of Home Detention aka Lockdown it was nice to venture into the city and stay at this lovely Hotel again. All facilities were clean and we were happy with the Covid Safety Plans in place which were sufficient but not overbearing. We had a room with access to Club Millesime and we were pleased to see that self serve options had returned for Afternoon Tea in particular and also evening Canapes and Breakfast. Our room a Junior Suite was more than adequate and was clean and spacious. All staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming and added to the experience at staying at this modern Hotel with Darling Harbour Views. A call out to Phoung who checked us in and served us throughout our stay along with Elmo and Mei.

The rooms really small for the price. No-one answer the phone for room service. We were right near the lifts, where a lady and her mobile phone photographer took photos for hours. The pool was freezing, not heated. We couldn't eat vegan and gluten free. And we saw a couple having sex in one of the windows that looked onto Darling harbour. They were right on the window looking onto everyone passing by.

Stopped on our way to gold coast, excellent check in, valet service good , bags delivered with a smile, very clean and roomy room, with the ability to walk into heart of sydney and variety of restuarants. ,

Was celebrating our wedding that weekend and decided to treat the wife with a spectacular stay in Sofitel Darling Harbour - also because we cant go anywhere! The wife loves the bath overlooking the harbour so we obviously had to book a room with a view ! The Sofitel team was extremely attentive to our requests and were on top of it, even gave me a courtesy call and SMS to ensure I was well taken care prior to my arrival. The SMS service was really good, I was able to check when my room was ready so I would make my way to the hotel. I was offered a refreshing drink while waiting to check in - love this ! Not many hotels do this these days and its a refreshing welcome ! Definitely makes you feel special! Shout out to Francisco for taking care of our special requests so well (or my wife's!) she was definitely over the moon with the Junior Suite room overlooking Darling Harbour with the beautiful bathtub! The Club Lounge was impeccable with good service and view. Highly recommended to stay at Sofitel, especially if you are celebrating a special occasion, its definitely worthwhile!

Due toaccessing a free ight through Advantage plus via the phone the online operator decided to give me 2 separate bookings. I should have questioned this as I found it meant 2 separate rooms over the 2 nights, not what my family had in mind at all! While other staff "ummed and aahed" Renato, a duty manager cut through the issue by ensuring we would be in one room for both nights at the standard of the paid night. This saved a degree of angst and allowed us to enjoy the trip and the hotel as we expected we would. All other aspects of the hotels operation were at the normal, high standard of Sofitel and it continues to be our families hotel of choice when in Sydney.

Comfy and well set up rooms, service was excellent Check in and check out were easy and the staff are all very helpful and willing to accomodate very specific requests. Great food as well and excellent views
