Motel is nice the location however isn't., room was near the back of the KFC carpark which was used as a hang out by the locals hanging out in cars and yelling and carrying on until 3am in the morning. Wine glasses didn't look clean.

At first I panicked at the distance it is from the city centre. It was a 5 minute drive. In all it was ok. The location is close to the exit to the highway but we did not hear any noise. The room was very big and spacious. Had a table to eat on and a corner nook with comfortable chairs. The bed was lovely and soft, like sleeping on a cloud. Sheeting felt great. The room had an AC to warm the room. We had it off during our sleep and were warm enough. It had tea/coffee with biscuits and a small mini bar. The bathroom was spacious and our towels were changed daily. We had the buffet breakfast and there was ample choices. We also had dinner at their restaurant. Very nice & lots of choices. The reception staff were wonderful and kind especially Sophie who listened & went over and beyond to help with a request which was honoured with much appreciation from me. Unfortunately it takes one staff member on late Saturday afternoon to spoil the vibe. It leaves a sour impression of the stay. Apart from her everything else I cannot fault. All staff from reception to breakfast & dinner were attenuative and friendly. Loved that the hotel was across the road from the famous bakery.

The staff are fantastic but Mercure let them down. The rooms are motel style, very ordinary. Arriving in our room, it was freezing. We're in the middle of Winter and Goulburn is a very cold place. One wall heater that took ages to warm the room. The bathroom is huge, barren and freezing. This is not a hotel but a motel. The restaurant furniture and decor could be improved upon, a roaring fire would be a great idea. However, the staff were lovely and friendly and the food excellent.

When visiting Goulburn, we always stop at the Mercure Goulburn. The room we had this time was a little disappointing as there were some maintenance issues. The soap dispenser did not work on the vanity, one of the bedside lamps was non-operational and going to breakfast the next morning walking along the verandah, a section of outside lighting was not working making it hard to see, as it was a dark wet morning. The room was clean and tidy, along with the bathroom which has a good size shower, but we did not like the toilet paper dispenser. Improvements could be made here. We had breakfast in the dining room the following morning. From our last visit, the choice of food has improved, which is good to see, along with a better choice of fruit and croissants.

Visiting Goulburn with family for a graduation at the Police Academy. Booked a 2 bedroom family unit. Perfect.

This is a clean, well maintained motel. Great for family group. Good value for money. All facilities provided and staff helpful and friendly. The kitchen was well stocked with a mini bar if you wished. Great location near a bakery and McDonalds for family dinner. Warm when we arrived on a cold day.
