Room was nice. Booked through hotels.com which advertises free cots/baby beds. Prior to arrival I had had several email exchanges with the hotel insisting they would charge me 14euro for this. On sending screenshots of the site advertising free rental they backed down although we had to chase cot on arrival! You dont get pool towels- you need to use the ones in the room which is strange. Bar is really relaxing and drinks reasonably priced. Food on an evening is all microwaved with high prices of 15-20 euros for microwaved pasta or pizza. Portions also quite small. Breakfast was plentiful and of a good standard. Staff were quite cold and rude throughout stay. Pool was good.

During check-in on 27 May 2025, I was issued a key to Room 224. To my horror, when I opened the door, there was already a man in bed—asleep, partially exposed, and probably completely unaware of the intrusion. This wasn’t just embarrassing; it was a serious breach of privacy and safety, witnessed by my entire party, including children. When I reported it, the receptionist’s first response was, “Did he see you?”, followed by “Accidents happen.” As though this was a minor inconvenience, not the shocking breach it was. Let’s be clear: this was not an accident—this was dangerous, neglectful, and deeply frightening. I asked to speak to a manager but was told none were available. There was no proper apology, no escalation—just deflection and indifference. To make matters worse, I discovered that the internal door locks do not prevent other programmed keycards from unlocking the room. So if a key is issued to someone in error, there is no way to physically secure the room from the inside. That alone left me feeling incredibly unsafe. I was not able to sleep at all that night and was even found pacing the hallway at 2:30 in the morning by the night guard as I'd had a panic attack. Even more concerning, my son was later able to get a replacement key simply by giving the room number—no ID or name check was done at all. I accepted a free breakfast as a goodwill gesture, but this was wrongly taken as “full compensation.” I do not consider the matter closed. The combination of serious security flaws, a lack of safeguarding, and staff who downplayed the situation made this an incredibly distressing experience. I expected far better from any hotel—especially one under the Ibis/Accor brand.

We are a family of 4 staying in a room with a double bed and a bunk bed. There is plenty of room for the four of us. The bunk bed is a good size and big enough for my 13 year old. (Why can't more family rooms have bunks instead of sofa beds)? The room is clean and the breakfast is good. There are no photos of the carpark, but because the hotel is just outside of town, the parking spaces are very generous. They are large enough to take a bike trailer with 4 bikes and we see a few cars with bikes. It's a short walk to the town centre for food. The town itself is lovely and both the town and the walk feels very safe for families.

The Hotel is located outside from Nieuwpoort, near to a camping. You'ill find a playground just behind the main building. Generally the Hotel is very Child friendly. In 9' you are at the beach with the car. We had room with bunk beds. Perfectly made for a family with Kids. The rooms are clean an easy made. No luxury or fancy accessoires. The staff is friendly. Only negative point is the pool. Actually you can only enter the pool area by trespassing the changing room. If the room is occupied you have to wait outside. There is no other way to the pool area. The pool is small and the water not very clean.

We enjoyed our stay so much in your place. Three generations mixed up. Nice swimming pool and wellness accommodation available in the hotel on reservation. Kudos to Stephanie and the rest of the team in Nieuwpoort!
