Hôtel Mercure Paris Notre Dame Saint Germain des Prés 4 yıldız

Lovely, beautifully decorated hotel perfectly sited on quiet side street but just steps from main boulevards (St. Germaine and St. Michel) in tourist centre of Paris--minute walk to main tourist sites and restaurants and shopping. The friendly and accommodating front desk staff, Mohamed, Menel and Walid went out of their way to respond to and satisfy our every wish. Our rooms were comfortable and clean and equipped with fridge and coffee maker. My absolutely best hotel stay of many years visiting France.

The pros : good service at check out from Menel, good value for money The cons : location is actually quite far from Notre Dame. Rooms were fairly noisy, with noise coming from other rooms or from the street. Water temperature in the shower wasn’t very stable and the bottle installed for conditioner was empty.

we had a very good experience at the Mercure Notre Dame hotel. its location is perfect. next to Notre Dame, Saint Germain, Luxembourg gardens, in walking distance to Ile Saint Louis, the Marais, Cluny museum and not far from the Louvres and D'Orsay museum. close to the metro line and RER. the staff was very friendly and welcoming, especially Mohamed and Walid but also the others. breakfast was very tasty. the rooms are nice and clean but a little bit too small. we would definitely come back.

A tourist trap ! A fine-looking hotel but it needs to be seen closer. First, the displayed room price at the desk was 298€ but became more than 380€ on my bill. We were in a prestigious room but the access to the bathroom is so narrow that you must enter by positioning yourself sideways ! We were offered the minibar but the fridge was opened when we arrived in the room with a very hot temperature in the closet were the fridge was placed. There was only two bottle of tap treated water and another bottle of fruit juice. The water bottles were not sealed ! The bathroom and shower floor was very slippery… The room was very small and slanted, difficult to move around the beds. Breakfast OK but nothing extraordinary. Yes, prices really increased in all Paris hotels but I know much better places for the same price.

3 is half way between 5 and 1. - 5 for the staff and location. Staff is professional et respectful. Location is fabulous - 1 or 2 for the rooms. If you are shorter than 1.8 m or 6’, you should be ok. First room I had, my head touched the felling in the shower, and the curtain wrapped my body (I am not only tall, but 3XL big). I asked for a change. Promptly had a change, with a clean renovated shower. The toilet though had a foot between front of toilet and shower window, aka at 1.8 meter tall, had to sit sideways… (…)
