Lovely stay in a beautiful city

My friend and I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The decor is beautiful and the hotel, although it's a chain, it felt boutique and had a Parisian flair. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the hotel had a homely vibe. The breakfast was brilliant, with homemade proper french bread and a generous choice of options. Despite the location being central, it was very quiet at night with no traffic noise at all. Beds were comfy and the shower was waterfall. We would definitely return :) They also organised a taxi to the airport for us to save us the bother.

Excellent location. in Quartier Latin, close to metro and Notre Dame Cathedral, Les Invalides et Panthéon, very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are small but very convenient, cosy and clean. Good choice in breakfast options, egg options to do yourself, wide range in healthy food options.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel, not even in Paris. Tiny room, tiny bathroom, cramped hall, tiny elevator. There was hardly room for me and another guest returning the ironing board to reception (!!). Breakfast chef is the breakfast waiter. Breakfast itself no vegetables and not a very big variety of anything. On the upside: the service was with a smile and very helpful. Hotel and hall recently renovated with new carpeting. The hotel located close to Hotel Cluny and Metro Sorbonne

The location is ok, but needs to lift its game a bit. Towels were old and like old tea towels, small and tired. Hot water was almost non existent, never used the cold water in the shower, and the pressure was terrible. Air conditioning was very weak, thankfully the first couple of nights were quite cool, but became more uncomfortable with the warmer weather. Rooms were tiny, Staff were very helpful. We had drinks in the lobby on a couple of occasions and it is just the reception staff pouring the drinks. Not all of them know what they are doing!

I was extremely underwhelmed and disappointed by my stay at the MERCURE Paris Notre Dame de Près hotel. I specifically chose this hotel because I had previously stayed at a MERCURE hotel in Germany and was very impressed by the staff and quality of the rooms and the breakfast. Despite having notified the hotel in advance that I would be sharing a twin room with an adult male sibling, I was shocked to see when I checked in that the room size was extremely small and that the two twin beds were essentially a queen size bed because they were joined together. Hotel management did not seem to think this was a big deal because the bedding was separate; however, given that my sibling and I are grown adults of the opposite gender, the accommodations were inappropriate and hotel staff should have mentioned the room size and the bed situation ahead of time throughout our email conversations. Due to the accommodations, I had to pay for a separate room at a much higher rate. I would not stay at this hotel again if I were travelling to Paris, nor would I recommend it to anyone I know. Further, the breakfast option is extremely limited.
