Exceptional welcome from Sandrine. Lots of helpful information. Room as expected. Clean and adequate. Breakfast choice good. Bar andcrestaueant shared with Novotel, bar staff good and knowledgable dinner and wine choice excellent. A lovely stay, if only for one night. Would return.

We stayed in a twin room for two nights. The check-in process was smooth and quick. The staff was polite, friendly, and welcoming, which made the experience more pleasant. They were also accommodating and allowed us an early check-in, which was a great bonus. Room was super tiny, but it was clean and functional. The beds were comfortable. The room also had lots of plugs for charging electronics, but there was really no room for luggage or anything else. It felt cramped. The bathroom was small but adequate and clean, but the biggest downside, however, was that there was no hot water in the morning when we showered—so we had to shower with cold water in March! Not ideal at all. After our stay, they kindly allowed us to store our luggage for a few hours, which was very helpful as we had some extra time to explore the city before heading to the airport. For the price, the hotel is a decent option, especially for those just looking for a place to sleep while exploring Lyon. The location is good, there's a shopping center nearby. the staff was really nice and helpful, and the early check-in and baggage storage were nice touches. However, the tiny room, lack of space for luggage, lack of cleaning services, and the major issue with the hot water left us wanting a bit more. It’s a solid 3-star budget option.

Small budget hotel near Perrache train station

A convenient budget hotel near Perrache train station, at an approximately 10-minute walking distance. The hotel is very simple, with minimum services afforded, and small rooms, but with comfortable beds. So it was convenient for a short stay to visit Lyon and just return to sleep. Staff at reception were very friendly, professional and helpful.

I picked a single room with a bathroom for three nights. It was actually a double bed with a bed on top. It could be a bit small for two adults and a kid, but all right but for one or two. Everything was very clean. There is a television inside the room. There is an elevator in the hotel. You get to hear the other rooms and the hallway, but it was overall quite quiet when I was there. The breakfast is great and of very good value. You get bread, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, fruits, croissant, jam, chocolatines, coffee, juice and tea. Excellent start for your day. Staff is super nice and recommended me a very good restaurant nearby (Brasserie Georges which I also definitely recommend). The location is not so close to the Vieux-Lyon or the busy Lyon restaurant life, but there is a tram stop very close. You can also use the city bikes to move around town rapidly and for cheap. I would stay there again for sure.
